“no current, safe and lovely”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

This place was nice and mellow. Safe place to swim. No current and not too deep. Crowded, but hey almost everywhere is. You have to pay for the beach chairs but I don't have a problem with that. It was relaxing as long as screaming children didn't get too close.

“Fun in the Sun!”

What a beautiful beach! We rented chairs near Ixchel. We had a great beach waiter named Carlos, who I believe works for Chimbo's. He was EXTREMELY attentive and we always looked for him when we visited Playa Norte!

“Solo trip”

Beautiful walks every morning. I visited during 2014 carnival. I stayed in town but walked daily and snapped pictures. You can walk half away around isla then turn back and catch a great tan.

“Beautiful but....”
Reviewed 6 March 2014 via mobile

Very nice beach. We stayed at the Ixchel, so had a great view of the beach. Small beach! Nothing in the water - not even one shell, and shallow too. Good for kids, but I prefer a bit of waves or something to look at like coral and fish.... Beautiful sand.
