First trip to Merida and the accommodations I had made didn't work out. I found LaCasaLorenzo online and emailed them. Larry immediately got me in and I have been here about 2 weeks. I don't know if the accommodations or the host is the best. The rooms are very nice, clean, cool, and have everything you need. Bottled water, bath towels, extra towels for the pool and beach, great mattress, wall safe, and a/c if you want it. Larry is warm, kind, and very helpful, as well as a great information source and conversationalist. When you arrive, he makes sure you know where everything is located at the B&B and in Merida. His recommendations for eating are great!!! The garden, the pool, the back kitchen for wonderful breakfast (OJ to kill for, also) and evening drinks with other guests to relax and chat. All just add to the Experience. Easy to get to places by foot, yet, very quiet to be this close to El Centro. I must admit, I have been to many b&b's and this was the best experience I have ever had and will be returning.

This was our first time in Merida and not our last. The owner Larry made our 2 week trip flawless with his advice and help on just about everything. The Casa is located on a quiet street within walking distance to all the restaurants and sights. We arrived after a long day of travel to margarita's in the festive pool filled courtyard with accent lighting and music. The outdoor bar and mini-kitchen are available to prepare your own drinks and snacks. Lots of coffee and a full breakfast every morning got us started on our day. The rooms are all on the first floor with outdoor private entrances off of the courtyard. Our room was clean and airy with a Great shower.
This was a perfect match for us staying at the Casa with Larry, we don't speak spanish and with Larry's assistance we enjoyed everything the city had to offer.

My group was in town for a dance concert and we occupied three rooms. The dance rehearsals and performances were intensive and we really appreciated the comfortable beds and pleasant atmosphere to relax in when we weren't working. The gardin and pool were lovely and the fresh coffee in the morning was great to wake up to. We will definitely make La Casa Lorenzo our home away from home next time in we are in Mérida.

I just spent a delightful evening as a guest poolside at La Casa Lorenzo. I would recommend it to any of my friends and family who visit our beautiful city. It's lovely, relaxing, and located in the quiet and convenient Centro neighborhood of Santa Ana.

Well, Lorenzo will try and make sure you are one happy visitor. From the air-port pick up to breakfast, he is determined you will enjoy your stay. Rooms are very nice, the pool is pretty and well kept not to mention being close to the main square if you are a walker and if not, you can get there for less then 3 dollars. There is always something going on, concerts and galleries you name it. Today I went to the Symphony, it was wonderful, I was in the six row center from the stage for less than $15.00. Yes! This is great choice! And La Casa Lorenzo is a real treat! Even the cat Bella is entertaining. Enjoy! Crystal

La Casa Lorenzo is truly a gem amidst the excitement and vibrancy of Merida. Our stay was comfortable and personable. Larry is a great host and will make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We loved Merida and La Casa Lorenzo and cannot wait to come back!

The pool is cool and refreshing. The cantina and courtyard are tropical and lush. It's close to everything. We had no problem walking down Montejo to the zocalo for nightlife and fun!

Merida is very safe and I would recommend both La Casa Lorenzo and Merida to anyone looking for a deeper connection to Mexico than Cancun or Playa Del Carmen.
