I thought between 2 or 3 stars for this hotel. The room was ok, nice bed, but nothing out of the ordinary. And a minus the rooms NOT having a refrigerator. The pool was maybe the best part of the place. We had the whole place almost for ourselves since there was only one couple besides us, so we did a night swim in the pool for couple of times. The bathroom was way too big(!), should have used the space elsewhere instead than to the bathroom and in there was also a constant, really bad smell (actually of urine and sweat).. I think that came from the plunging but it was distracting nevertheless. WiFi was good in this hotel and the staff was nice and friendly. The owner though was a bit useless - even though he did try - regarding for actually useful information about the near by sites and/or traveling around (other than by car). The rooms were located around the pool in the inner yard and we had the first room on the left, on 1st floor (I guess it was room #1..). Should there have been children f.ex. playing and shouting around the pool the room would've been a very noisy place. But luckily for us there wasn't any children staying over there then. But if you'd like some privacy and quiet times, a room from the 2nd floor would be your best bet. The location was ok, not a long walk from the city centre. Hotel can be a bit tricky to find since they don't have anything outside the building (no sign stating "hotel", etc.) stating that that is a hotel. Rather it looks like a private house instead. So make sure you have the exact address and take a taxi.

What an amazing place. We came here last minute and I am so glad we did. As soon as we arrived, the owner sat us down and gave us loads of information about the area.

The room was spacious and clean with everything you might need. The bathroom was huge! The shower wasn't that powerful but that is literally the only negative thing I have to say. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were very good. The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to the centre in about 10 minutes. There is also free parking. The owners were just so friendly and helpful and we can't recommend it enough.

We stayed here a few nights while exploring Merida for the first time. Whenever we visit a new place I usually check out in person some of the other hotels we were considering to see if we could've picked better, or to note to try a different hotel next time... well, the other Trip Advisor reviewers that convinced us to book here nailed it, we would definitely stay here again.

The location is a safe and short 5 minute walk to the main historic square and about 10-15 minutes walk to the beginning of Paseo Montejo where a street market and local festivities take place. There are also good restaurants nearby and taxi's are always available to get to the newer part of town to the north, to the malls, theaters, chain restaurants and such if you're into that. Use the white cabs.

Merida is a very easy city to drive around. We arrived to the hotel in the dark by car from Cancun and found it without too much difficulty, but it is a little confusing with the one way streets so google map it or whatever before you head out.

Yan and Rita are awesome and were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very cozy and well kept and after a exploring Merida and the countryside in the blistering heat we enjoyed lounging poolside with cold beers before heading out for dinner. Four days is definitely not enough time to see Merida and the region properly so we'll be back.

Room Tip: We had room #1 and it was perfect, on the lower level, step out of the room to the pool. I would req...

Very modern and confortable guesthouse at a walking distance from downtown Merida, with a large bathroom and all the amenities. Yan and Rita are perfect hosts providing you with valuable information about the do's and dont's of the city. The guesthouse was undergoing major renos when we were there, but Yan made sure we had a perfect stay. Highly recommended.

I have stayed here several times over the last few years and it is for me an excellent hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet street on the edge of the historical downtown. It is just a short walk from the hotel to downtown or the paseo montejo.area The very fiendly and helpful owners keep up the high service level by improving and adding services. Recently they added 2 new rooms to their total of 4 and in one of those new rooms I stayed during my last visit. It has a private little terrace with hammock to relax in the evening.

This is a gem of a hotel with ideal innkeepers. Rita and Jann couldn't be more warm or helpful. They are clearly proud of their hotel and with good reason. We stayed in the suite which had everything (and more!) that we could need. We had a great time in Merida and will definitely return.

After a tireless, and detailed search, I decided on this boutique hotel. It met all of my requirements.
The hotel is simple and charming, with the atmosphere and flair of old Mexico. Location is a quick walk to the Cathedral, and all of the wonderful things surrounding it.
Very historical city with colonial architecture, museums and more. Hotel was always welcoming and inviting after a busy day.
