“Loved this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

My favorite of the ruins we visited! We spent a few hours exploring this site and enjoyed every minute of it. Not as commercialized as Chichen Itza, and with the exception of the pyramid and the Nunnery Quadrangle we were able to climb up each building. Read about Mayan history and customs before you go for a thorough understanding and to enhance your experience as you walk back through time. Don't bother paying for a guide unless you have money to burn. Highly recommended.

“Look back into history...”

The Nunnery Quadrangle is just amazing with elaborately carved façades on both the inside and outside faces - its worth walking into the middle and sitting on the grass and taking in the complex

“Mayan history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 March 2014 via mobile

One of the better ruins that I have seen, it is just a part of Uxmal and all are worth a visit. Went through it with a guide and then went back through alone to photograph with no crowds as it can be a busy place.
