When I booked this hotel, I was hesitant due to the fact I read some reviews that made me question if staying here was the right decision . I have been impressed since we had arrived. It was such a pleasant surprise. Great location & friendly staff. Spacious rooms and the hotel is kept very clean. Got a sport massage.... Perfect!!! The pool was never crowded, wonderful hot tub and I used the gym... Not high quality equipment but enough there to get the job. We were on the 5th floor so enjoyed the fiesta club. I will never hesitate to recommend this hotel to someone !!

Beautiful, first class hotel on the Paseo de Montejo -the main Avenue in the city. The rooms are impeccable and their breakfast buffet is excellent. The ground floor features some nice shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: We were there in January 2012 and stayed on the top floor which also featured a free breakfast and s...

Stayed 2 nights. Good location. Food is good. The room had several things broken that did not get fixed during our stay. Unpersonal service. And some unpleasant suprises at check out. Impressive on the outside. Disappointing on the inside.

This is a wonderful hotel close to the city center. Everything about this property is first class. The breakfast buffet is extensive with something for everyone. There are a number of nice shops on the ground floor and even a Chili's Restaurant.

Checked in on a Monday night to find out that the water to the entire hotel would be shut down the next day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for repair. That was not the case. The water was shut down until after 10 p.m. which meant no shower, no brushing teeth, no use of the toilet. When the water eventually turned on the water was YELLOW for almost another hour. Not only was the water yellow, but it smelled. When the water cleared their was no hot water. The hotel did not provide us with an option to use another hotel to shower, use the restroom or brush our teeth. We were simply told that they are working on the problem. I stayed at the Hyatt across the street in the past and thought to give the Fiesta Americana a try, but they failed me and I will never return and would not recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Be careful with the the elevators. They close fast and may cause injury.

The hotel looks quite impresive, great location, great service, clean, super friendly staff, but the rooms could use a bit of improvement: broken lamp, broken soap dish, old towels. The goods are way more than thebads, i would stay there again and I would recomend it, specially because of the auper ataff theyhave, but I would recomend the hotel to do some room-cheks and fix all thatneeds rixing

We stayed in a Junior Suite, which any other hotel would call a suite, with a dining area, living area and separate bedroom. It was also located on a corner, had four (4!) balconies and was HUGE. We spent about the first 10 minutes in the room running around opening things and talking about the ridiculously extravagant size of the room. The only thing almost laughably small in comparison was the bathroom, definitely not for two people to use at once. Luckily the sink area was separate and in proportion to the rest of the suite. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant, including the front desk clerk, concierge, valet, and maids. By the way, the website, and even the front desk staff, are completely unclear about it, but valet parking is included, which we found pretty awesome. The maids did seem a little anxious to get in and clean our room as early as possible, but they were always quite pleasant when I asked them to wait. The WIFi was very fast, especially compared to that in other hotels in the region. The Junior Suite gave us access to the Fiesta Club, which was a bit of a disappointment, but did get us some free, if underwhelming, cold breakfast to start our day and a nice glass or three of wine to wind down in the evenings. The pool and jacuzzi were also quite nice for end-of-day unwinding, with only a few people in either one.

To summarize, it was a very pleasant stay, although it wasn't quite "wow" either. I'm not dying to go back (hence four instead of five stars), but I'd certainly be open to it, and would recommend it to others.
