Merdia is a perfect city to visit. But if you need a location to keep traveling through Mexico, it is perfect. Newer hotel. Front desk staff so nice.Breakfast has a good selection and nicely presented. Easy walk to mall. to have dinner. Walk to convention center.

I was visiting Merida with a group participating in adventure activities. This hotel is very clean and well maintained. The lobby is very bright and modern, with plenty of couches and chairs for everybody to visit and meet-up. Check-in was very quick and efficient. The front desk staff were above and beyond helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

This hotel is close to restaurants and shopping, is very safe and secure. Having modern amenities, you need your room key to work the elevator. Your room key inserted into the slot also works the lighting in your room.

My standard room with two beds was very comfortable, very spacious and clean. The bathroom had a shower with a glass door. The vanity area was very will lit and offered very nice amenities. There was a coffee maker behind the vanity area with coffee and bottled water. The room had a very nice work station with a quick internet connection.

The restaurant is only open for breakfast, and offers a wide variety of food which is included in your stay. The area is large with plenty of seating, very clean and very well maintained. The food was delicious. You can look out to the very clean swimming pool, right next to the restaurant.

My last night there, my computer had fried. To the left of the reception desk is the business center. I had a lot of issues with their computers and the internet connection, which was very slow. The next morning, Gabriel at the front desk went above and beyond for me. I needed get across the street to Office Max, hoping to salvage my computer. Gabriel found me a taxi driver who spoke some English, and translated my needs to him, as I needed the driver to accompany me in to Office Max to translate for me.

All in all, this was a wonderful stay. The very friendly staff goes above and beyond for their guests. I would recommend this hotel for business vs. leisure, as you are not close to downtown Merida. This is a great hotel for a group with planned activities.

The room was nice and big and had all the things you need when you travel. The bed was very hard but was ok for one nights stay. It is on the outside of town and away from the downtown area where you would want to go so you will have to pay quite a bit for a taxi to and from town. They only provide coffee in the room no tea for people like me that don't drink coffee, I was told to go into town and buy tea if it was what I wanted. They only have food for breakfast, which is free, so if you want food you also have to go into town to get it. They also provide internet but it is very bad, it kept going up and down and when I called to complain he gave me the number to their provider and told me to call them myself and complain. This hotel was inconvenient but for one night it was ok but the staff was a little rude so that makes it a place I won't go back to visit for lack of care from the staff and the hotel being out of the way.

Had to do a fast business trip to Merida, Mexico and got this hotel which is very well located in the new commercial zone of beautiful Merida, Mexico at the Yucatan Peninsula, although a little bit far from downtown Merida, the taxi ride is very cheap. Very close to shopping center, banks and lots of restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful and all the installations are fairly new and well kept. A good choice.

This month I had the opportunity to visit Merida and stayed in this hotel, out from downtown, with all services, young and efficient personnel that were willing to give you the best experience. This is definetely was the best since I used Merida to visit the Mayan Places.

Room, service, amenities, cleanliness were all up to the excellent standards - if you've stayed in holiday inn express before, expect a replica.

Only disadvantage - its really out in the boonies and one needs to have their own conveyance. Else spend 160-200 pesos (to and fro) every time you want to go downtown.
