Description: Hennessy's Irish Pub: Bringing an authentic taste of Ireland to Merida, Mexico. Opened in late 2010 by Irish expats Sean Hennessy and Colm Cooney, Hennessy's has quickly become one of Merida's favorite watering holes and resturants, popular with locals, expats and travelers alike. Don't miss Hennessy's stunning front bar, cozy Polo Bar in back, open-air patio and billiard room. In addition to its stellar Fish-n-Chips, don't-miss menu items include stunning curries, fresh salads and delicious steaks. Hennessy's also offers a great selection of beer, wine, cocktails and Irish Whiskey. And Guinness, of course.

“authentic feel”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

It has a authentic look and feel. The food is quite good. We had fish and chips and it came with everything expected from an Irish fish and chips. The beer menu was extensive and the beer was quite good. no complaints.

“Hard to Find but Great Beer and Food”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

The Gua Gua Tour Bus Guide, Gabriela, told us to look at the beginning of the Paseo de Montejo. It is about two blocks up the road so it took us a bit of looking but we found it. Great Cervesa Frio and Frio Mugs. The fish and chips were delicious. The apple strudel appeared to be baked fresh while we waited.

“St. Patrick's Day”
Reviewed 17 March 2014 via mobile

No visit to Merida would be complete without a stop at this establishment! St. Patrick's Day celebration is nothing short of fabulous! Excellent food, world class entertainment, and great atmosphere served up with Irish hospitality.
Steak and Guinness served over baked potato had to be a prize winning combo.
Great job!

“Not only a popular expat hangout, but also excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere.”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

As one of the most popular hangouts for expats and locals alike, Hennessy's is going strong as ever after over three years. Great food, spirits, and entertainment, provided by always accommodating owners, make this a must for anyone visiting or living in Mérida. Don't miss Curry Night!
