This hotel is an absolute treat—good location, but quiet. We arrived hot and sweaty from Chichen Itza, and after we parked the car, the bartender brought us two tamarind margaritas while we checked in. There was a bit of language confusion—they DO have their own parking area, so don't fuss around with street parking. This took us a while to figure out.

They upgraded us to an elegant suite with a gigantic hot tub and great big fluffy bed—the first night we stayed in because we were so comfortable. The settings are very romantic, with modern and old world touches—with plenty of AC and fans to keep the air moving. Breakfast in the morning is generously portioned and tasty—and the service is impeccable. In the afternoon, when it was too hot to run around, we relaxed in the pool. In the evening, they gave us a great restaurant recommendation for Roses y Xocolate.

This is a beautiful hotel that I highly recommend. Looking at the front of the hotel you would never expect it to be so beautiful once that big brown wooden door opened. We were greeted by name and given a cold white cloth and a glass of wine. The food was exquisite and they have cooking classes if you want to learn how to cook Mexican dishes. The staff is wonderful, the food is great and while they only have 7 rooms each room is great. The ambiance is superb! This place is simply elegant. If you want a nice romantic place with good food at a great location. This is the place. The owners and staff are so attentive. The Chef is awesome, prepares great meals and will prepare anything you want. You're not far from downtown, museums, etc. While it may be a long walk, taxi fare is real cheap.

Room Tip: Any room you choose is great. They only have 7 rooms. I chose a room downstairs because I don'...

In the beginning of July we (a couple with a 16 year old son) stayed 3 nights at this small hotel. We arrived quite hot and flustered after a long and warm/humid day of sightseeing and traveling by car. Immediately there was help on hand -someone got our luggage from the parked car, they also parked our car for us in the safe car park across the road. The check -in was a pleasant experience. We were seated and given cool, wet towels and a wonderful drink whilst the formalities were seen to. We were made to feel special and welcomed from the very start and felt throughout our stay that all the personal did their very best to answer all our questions.
The place itself is a small oasis just a short walk from the city center. Peace and tranquility hits you, once the front door closes, a great calmness prevails in the lovely courtyard. We had the 2 balcony rooms and enjoyed sitting up there, when we had a moment. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, the beds big and wonderful to sleep in. The whole place is tastefully decorated and finished to a high standard.
My husband said it was lovely to see me waking up every morning with a big smile on my face.
When our son needed to see a doctor, the manager arranged for one to come to the hotel within 20 minutes and they even got the pharmacy to deliver the prescribed medication -very helpful and professional throughout.
We were keen to learn about the way of life in Mexico/Merida and found the staff very open when quizzed by us.
The continental breakfast which is included is very satisfactory, we certainly did not need anything more. Especially the fruit salad, the small pastries and the excellent coffee made a great start to our day.

We can strongly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning there in the future.

Room Tip: the balcony rooms are at the very end and therefor no people passing by, there is also a view over t...

We spent 5 days in Casa Lecanda. 5 days in paradise. Casa Lecanda is truly an oasis of tranquility and beauty in a busy city. The hotl is beautifully furnished with meticulous attention to detail. The outdoor spaces are comfortable, beautiful and inviting.Everything is kept exceptionally clean and in order. We stayed in a balcony room, the furniture is very tasteful, and reflects the true "hacienda style". The BED!!! OMG...the bed was wonderful. The mattress is perfect and the bedding is so comfortable.
The view from the balcony room is very relaxing, the patio furniture is very nice.
The hammocks are very inviting and the pool is refreshing after a busy day of sightseing.
Then there is the bar. The bartender is not only knowledgeable about the drinks, but also happily gives a lot of info about the city!
Breakfast is beautifully served outside, and is delicious.
All in all, the service at Casa Lecanda is outstanding, hotel staff can't do enough for their guests.
I can only highly recommend this hotel, it has a wonderful family atmosphere and the guests are happily welcomed into the Casa Lecanda family!

Thanks to all, especially Dona Maria, who ,even after only a few days, I consider as a good, lifelong friend.

Perfect hotel, good location and very well runned. The staff is so nice and helpfull and I felt so fortunate that I could stay here.

Yes, over the top stunning and perfect in every little detail.
Don't hesitate and stay in Casa Lecanda while visiting Merida. You won't regret it!

A true oasis in Merida´s downtown! Casa Lecanda is a beautiful hacienda-style boutique hotel with an impeccable décor, beautiful rooms with the best taste reflected in every corner! Only a few hotels in the world can truly transmit that tranquil and relaxed atmosphere I felt every time I walked in. The scent in the room is delicious! I totally recommend it and for sure I will go back again!

Casa Lecanda is over-the-top stunning. The family really went absolutely all out in making the place. It so tasteful and gorgeous, with amazing attention to detail. The beds were by far the most comfortable that we have ever slept in while traveling. The hotel is run in a really savvy manner in that they have created an atmosphere that you are staying a friend's house, albeit one that looks like something out of a glossy lifestyle magazine. My wife and I felt very fortunate to find. We felt very privileged to stay in such a beautiful spot.
