Magical little oasis in the heart of Merida. Peaceful, great architecture, attentive staff, great food and always quiet. Access to Merida sights and sounds is only a door step away. Day trips to the ruins. Highly recommended.

This charming boutique hotel boasts an attention to detail that goes above and beyond. The property is meticulous and the rooms, restaurant, pool, and staff are all top-notch. If you are looking for an elegant and relaxing place to "come home" at the end of the day, this is it.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms have amazing views and private porches!

This is a boutique hotel at it's best. It's visually beautiful and well run. The food has an Italian feel and is as good as Italy. They do fabulous Margarita's. The rooms are dark but beds are comfortable and I slept well. It was a very memorable experience. Enchanting!

Great, stylish seven room inn. Lovely pool, delicious food, comfortable rooms, excellent location. I can't think of a better place to call "home" in Merida.

All the raves about this place are justified.

We recently spent 2 days at Casa Lecanda. It is one of our all-time favorite hotels. The architecture and design are beautiful. The property is peaceful. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food is wonderful. All i can say is we're looking forward to planning our next trip to Merida so we can enjoy the serenity of this place again. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay fantastic.

This hotel had a great feel about it from the moment one enters. The courtyard is beautiful and the room we stayed in Lucia, on the balcony level, was great. The room had very high ceilings and was cleverly designed as it was fairly small but did not feel small. The use of skylights in the room and bathroom were great. The shower was big. The bed was very comfortable. The wifi worked well. The breakfast included was coffee, juice and yoghurt and fruit which was fine for us as we were a but tired of big breakfasts. The hotel and the room smelt so good, they use the Coqui Coqui scents. We did not receive a free drink on arrival as others have noted but we ordered the tamarind margarita and not only was the size very generous it was the best cocktail I have had in Mexico to date. The room we stayed in was very quiet as it was not on the street. The place is really charming and beautiful and not too far from everything. Everything was perfect which is why we gave it a five, but I also stayed at Casa Azul in Merida, see separate review, and although it cost a bit more if I could only stay at one I would stay at Azul as that hotel has the most spectacular rooms where one feels like one is staying in a museum and treated like royalty, and impeccable service and food. Casa Lecanda is also a great place to stay, it's good to see so many good options in Merida.

Room Tip: Lucia balcony room was great, the ones downstairs looked a bit dark.
