This is an absolutely gorgeous and homy place to stay. The hosts are most helpful, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast delicious! It was nice to get suggestions of where to eat and feel save in the Town. We enjoyed the home made cinnamon rolls and the fresh fruit. Merida and our stay here was great.

You may find yourself looking for reasons to visit Mérida just to check in again with Casa del Maya's friendly, gracious hosts, to eat one more fresh homemade cinnamon roll, to luxuriate again in a big, immaculate shower with cascades of soft, hot water. Rooms are clean, big and comfortable; location is quiet and easy walking distance to almost everything you want to do in the city. Breakfasts are outstanding: creative and generous. You'll want to come back.

Room Tip: Our third visit to Casa del Maya would have been our fourth, had there been "room at the inn&qu...

We're glad you were able to fit in so much during your stay at Casa Del Maya. There is so much to see and do in Merida that a 5-7 night stay is a good way to see the city and also fit in a few day trips to cenotes, Mayan sites, and beach towns such as Celestun, Campeche, and Progreso. Hope to see you again at Casa Del Maya.

We love the fact that our guests can easily walk to all the Merida attractions: the Zocalo, Santa Ana Park, Santa Lucia Park, Santiago Park, Paseo de Montejo, and all the museums, restaurants, and artisan stores. Thanks for staying with Casa Del Maya - we appreciate it.

From the moment we walked through the door into the lush garden we knew we were in for a treat. Steve and Jordy have seen to every detail: gourmet breakfasts, beautiful room decorated in the bright Mayan yellows and blues and a pool to soak in after a day of touring ruins or wandering the streets of Merida. And they were the perfect hosts--full of great advise about where to go and what to see. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Merida.

I have visited Mérida several times and never stayed in such a nice B&B. The owners are Jordy and Steve and they are friendly, considerate and knowledgeable.

Friendly: They stopped by our table during breakfast, or asked us daily if we needed anything.

Considerate: Jordy made tasty gluten free food for us. They met our Yucatecan friends with coffee when they came to visit us. They packed us treat before we left at 5:00 AM for our flight home.

Knowledgeable: Overheard them many times make several recommendations to other guests. For us they identified bus routes and an excellent and little known local restaurant.

I have made another reservation and look forward to the clean rooms, peaceful setting and delicious breakfast.

We are very pleased with our location, as well. Just blocks to Santa Ana Park, Paseo Montejo, Santa Lucia Park, and the Plaza Grande, as well as restaurants, museums, and stores of all kinds. Looking forward to your return!

So glad you enjoyed staying with us. And yes, many other hotels charge for air conditioning, but at Casa Del Maya, A/C is always included at no extra charge. Just as is bottled water and a full breakfast each morning.
