I don't understand how this hotel price is so low. It's wonderful for backpackers, young adults, and those looking to explore Merida. Located nearby the Centro Historico, Nomadas really offers a convenient walking location to key sites, buses, banks, and delicious restaurants. They offer cooking, dancing, and yoga classes for free. There is a pool, hammock area, fully stocked kitchen, fridge. The beds are not super comfy, but they are clean and big. There is no AC which is totally fine in any month but August/ September where life is just unbearably hot... but there are several super powerful fans that made me feel more than cool during the hotness.

Room Tip: I would recommend a private bathroom. The public ones are fine, but the privacy is a fine price to p...

Nomadas is huge. It offers salsa, yoga, cooking classes...all of this is great, though I do think it prevents travelers from having these experiences in the city and with locals. Nomadas tends to be a world unto itself, with people sometimes staying there at the pool all day. Still, the facilities were nice and the staff was very flexible and helpful.

This place is great... I was supposed to spend 2 days I ended up being there for over a week..
they have a nice swimming pool that is perfect specially because Merida is super hot!!!!..lots of outside space to chill and relax alone or hang out with other people...hammocks....a good size kitchen for you to cook.. but the great factor is all the things you get for free: free breakfast ( coffee, toasts and jam, cereals and fruit ), free water refill all day long...free yoga classes in the morning, free salsa lessons in the evening, free mexican cooking lessons ( for like 2 us$ you can even eat after the lesson )...and this is a plus, specially when you are on a tight budget...the staff is very friendly and patience and they kindly put up with the million questions I asked...thank you.....the first 5 night I was in the girls dorm and it was very spacious, had 2 toilets and 2 shower rooms, ceiling fan and air con...I really liked it ( choose a bottom bed, its bigger ), the last 2 nights I was in a mix dorm, honestly it was ok but not great, a bit small and no windows, no toilet inside and the nearest one was very far ...I saw some of the private rooms and they look good///..Overall I really really enjoyed this place, you just feel comfortable....

Room Tip: for the dorm choose the bigger ones that are fresher and more ventilated...

This place has decent rooms and a great pool, but you are not allowed to make a single noise past 10:55 pm. There is no common area that is available. If they don't want noise they should remove the s from hostel

It's an okay stay, would want to give it 3.5 star, but I can't. Price-quality is okay, you can't expect much for that price. But I've seen better hostels. But they usually didn't have breakfast. Breakfast is basic, but you get fresh fruit, next to toast and cereals.

Rooms are very basic and very hot (stayed in a private bedroom)! You only get some fans to get you through the night! Fortunately there is a nice swimmingpool afterwards. There weren't a lot of sanitary facilities, but surprisingly you never had to wait!

A good thing: in walking distance of the City center. We absolutely loved it!

I have stayed there several times and watched it grow over the years. First class, with pool, conveniently located. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Will organize excursions. only a couple of blocks from the main plaza. Good WiFi. Breakfast and a community Kitchen. Meet fellow travelers, team up and compare notes. Love this place. English spoken here.

Room Tip: I like the room just outside the Kitchen on the way to the pool. There is a bathroom just outside...

Only a few blocks away from the center of Merida, Nomadas is a hidden oasis. The hostel complex is just the right size, the grounds are beautiful, the atmosphere is spectacular, the staff is very friendly!
THE POOL is a lifesaver! Hammocks hover over the semi-Olympic sized swimming pool, a garden and neighboring courtyard wrap up the pool in one of the best hostel common areas I've ever experienced!
The hostel offers a plethora of FREE activities, from yoga sessions in the morning- to salsa and cooking classes at night.
The free breakfast is good!

Overall.. Nomadas is my favorite hostel in Merida (stayed at 3) and I strongly recommend you give it a shot!
