Location couldn't be better, we walked to 5th Avenue every day to stroll and people watch. The hotel is immaculate in every area, the smaller size allows the staff to get to know their guests and their enthusiasm can't be beat. The buffet is large and has anything you could ask for. Dinner at Bamboo (oriental) husband had salmon to die for, staff very professional and courteous. Ate at Viva Café at the sister resort, the Maya, the tuna steak was cooked to perfection. Pool bar has food all day, pizza, burgers, mexican, great snack food and drinks were excellent, pina colada and margaritas definitely had enough liquor :-) Rooms large, super clean, our frig was restocked with water every day. If you walk along the road from Azteca to Maya you pass some very high end resorts that look like Vegas on the outside, the Riu has the monopoly on that street, but except for overpriced restaurants and some other amenities we would not use, I think we hit the jackpot with the Azteca/Maya Wyndam all inclusive !! I would definitely go again.More
