Royal service well worth the extra expense. Everything was so perfect! Passions was amazing and Spa experience both worth the added expense too. Our butler hector was wonderful and provided excellent service. Don't bother with eating at the Grills, the other restaurants are far superior. Everyone there was so nice and always willing to help. Rate it 10 out of 10

My boyfriend and I came to Paradisus La Perla (adult side) on Feb 24th thru March 2nd, and we will definitely be back! We had the best experience we've had in Mexico at an all inconclusive hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel welcome. It was also my birthday on March 1st and our concierge Carlos Castaneda helped us plan a romantic dinner at one of the nice restaurants at the hotel - the chef had baked a delicious chocolate cake for the occasion, which was followed by a romantic bubble bath with roses sprinkled all over the tub and bathroom floor.
The first few days we spent it on the beach and Carmen took great care of us. The beach was great - yes, it wasn't a huge beach and the chairs are close to the water, but we loved that. The next few days we spent it at the pool and had a blast. There's music and one day there was a dj, as well as pool side entertainment. The restaurants and bars were also amazing - our favorite restaurant was El Fuego. There's definitely something for everyone at this beautiful hotel, whether you want to party or just relax, there's everything.
We will definitely be back to this hotel! 5 stars!

After reading reviews can I say, firstly this is a first rate place to visit. The hotels & grounds are beautiful, the beach is not rocky as described but very sandy although a little narrow. However, there is plenty of room with lovely sun beds provided you set out early enough to grab one! The sea does have a lot of rocks & is stony in places but if you go to the right of the beach from Royal Service to the wooden life guard chair the entry into the sea is much pleasanter & the sea is beautiful - we purchased some divers shoes off Amazon - really worth it & inexpensive although we didn't always wear them. The restaurants are generally excellent although we didn't rate The Grill or the Japanese ones as highly as others but this is very subjective. Favourites are Fuego, La Palapa & Vento as well as Mole. Staff are lovely & do not hassle for tips. The pools are also superb & the walks around the site as well as the wildlife superb. Have been to Paradisus rio d'Oro in Cuba & this is superior although Cuba was great too.

I traveled to Playa del Carmen with Becks Hybrids. There are a few individuals that made my trip excellent. Deysi from Naos was an attentive and knew what we were drinking by the second day. She was so good to us. Alejandro served us at the pool and he also worked at Hadar. He was the best server we had out at the pool. He kept the drinks coming and was always smiling. His personality was everything. Axel was a nice gentleman. We did the flower arrangements with him and he did an excellent job. He kept things fun and it was a great experience. Another person I would like to mention is Jonathen (teaches Aquagym). This gentleman had the most outstanding personality. He was so much fun to be around and always made me laugh. I was only at Playa del Carmen for a week and I connected with these individuals. My mom and I recommend that if you go there - you find these people! I hope to someday see these people again. I want to thank them for their service. They made us feel like we were their top priority. Again, these are the people to find - from service to fun!

Room Tip: Rooms with the swim up pool are excellent!

Would not go back again. Our room was so loud it sounded like a construction site. We complained about it and they didn't do anything about it. Food was not good at all! Rooms are nice and everyone is friendly.

For our 35th wedding anniversary, we booked a trip to a place we'd never been - Cancun, Mexico. Paradisus was about 30 minutes away from the airport. This beautiful resort was built fairly recently, in 2011, I believe. We loved our Sunday to Sunday vacation there. Our trip planner had requested "no obstructed view, best room and view possible". This request was honored with a gorgeous suite and a balcony that faced the nature preserve and the sea beyond. We could see the island of Cozumel from our balcony. A spa tub was also on the balcony. One night we came back to our room to find that the tub had been filled with bubblebath, and rose petals were strewn here and there. Happy Anniversary! Because my birthday was in February, the staff also sent up delicious pieces of cake with best wishes for a wonderful birthday year.
The hotel itself has two sections, one exclusively for adults and the other section geared for families. The architecture of the hotel was somethiing to wander through and feel like royalty. The atmosphere is both casual for day and dressy for evening. Your choice. There were many excellent and varied restaurants in which to dine. Dinner reservations are a must if you wish to eat early; we never had a problem eating after 9:00pm without one. We did not choose to dine at Passion (a paying restaurant). We enjoyed having room service for a couple of nights and did not even dine at all the restaurants available in the all-inclusive price! The quality and freshness of the food was superb. We loved eating breakfast in the buffet every morning with all the families and all the children. Our last dinner was at The Market, where the staff cut delicious pieces of different kinds of meat on giant skewers right at the table.
We loved the beach but they are not like giant NJ beaches. Believe me, the beach here was enough. Chairs, umbrellas and tables are numerous and appreciated. The waves gently lapped at the shore; the water was deep turquoise, green, blue and bordered a periwinkle sky. Adults on one side; families on the other. Fishermen casting nets; native men and women walking along the sand offerring their wares - never intrusive. Charlie looked after all of us, serving delicious pina coladas, beer, and bar food cooked up right there at the entrance to the beach. It rained only one evening. It didn't matter! The beautiful hot sun was a welcome respite from the cold winter weather. There are numerous pools, and we weren't in them once. We loved the beach.
We'd like to thank Diego, our concierge; Edgar and David, the superb bartenders at the South Avenue Bar, and the ladies who cleaned our room and turned down our bed each night. The entertainers we heard at the bars each evening were so talented and just added to the ambiance. Go see the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza. Set it up with the tourist people right at the hotel. The trip was AWESOME. I thought I wanted a massage at the hotel Spa, but to tell you the truth, we were in our routine and we were just so relaxed, I didn't really need one.
Thank you, staff and management, for a wonderful experience and memories to last a lifetime. We also met people from all over the world who chose Paradisus. We recommend it hightly.

This was my wife and I's second trip to the cancun area, and this trip was part of a company trip.
The staff was beyond great, and very friendly! The accommodations were wonderful and finished with very tasteful decor. The buildings and ground were spotless. Our trip was all inclusive, and the drinks were top shelf booze. All the food in the restaurants we tried was good….but maybe not 5 star (if you are a foodie). like I said all very good just not exceptional. The beach is very narrow, maybe only 20 foot wide beyond the lounge chairs in some areas. A good portion of the beachfront water has a bottom with rocks and stumps, pay attention to the flags color. (yellow has better bottom) I never went above the first floor in the resort, but from the building there are NO views of the ocean. (blocked by mangrove trees) Close to Playa (10$ cab each way) 20 min walk down beach. Spa service was great! DEEP Tissue massage almost broke me! The only reason I might not go back is because I lie to see the water while I swim, or sit in my room.

Room Tip: swim-up room is very cool, if you plan to spend a lot of pool time. It makes very easy to get back a...
