“Good price, good people”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

Thought this was a great hostel for the price. The guy at reception, too, was a really good guy. He sat with us for several hours and brought us a little tequila he had. He has excellent taste in music, too. Anyway, the hostel is clean, has good facilities, and has good people. Only complaint is that it can be a little hot sometimes, so if you have a choice of bunk bed try to get one near a fan.

Room Tip: Pick a bed with good coverage by one of the rooms fans.

I recommend you this hostel...5 minutes next to the beach. It has Wifi, a huge kitchen, clean and nice bathrooms, a useful little swimmimg pool when its too hot, a very clean and excellent service. Good to meet friendly people and to spend good times. Many cheap restaurants and shops around. A great place where you can find your Destiny.

The main problem: on our last night in Central America after travelling for 4 months, we were in the wooden bunk beds, we woke up in the middle of the night, I used my phone to check the time and saw about 30 insects crawling all over my left shoulder and my pillow. My boyfriend then woke up too because some beetles fell on his face from the top bunk, he checked his bed and it was full of insects too all over his back. We told the night porter and he gave us new sheets and let us move to a new bunk but to be honest I couldn't sleep after that. I refused to pay for the bunks which not surprisingly they agreed to. The guy on reception wasn't surprised by it, they obviously get it a lot.

This was not the only reason we didn't really like the hostel.

We booked a 'private room' for 500pesos. What we got was an abandoned dorm. It was a huge disappointment.

The guy on reception is a nice guy but pumps out annoying rock music all the time.

On the same night that we got covered in bugs there was a group of people loudly and drunkenly arguing/discussing in the common area outside the dorm until 3am. We found out the next day one of these people had been the guy on the front desk.

Basically massively disappointing hostel plus playa is rubbish and way too expensive, go to tulum instead.

Thank you very much for your coments, we are really working hard in this issues, changing bunks and mattresses, we were in high season and a lot of people coming from the jungle and another hostels, and they bring bugs all the time, but anyway we are working on that.

very clean, excelent ambient, all services and close to everything, is literally at the center of everything. Even transportation for some other interest places is 1 block away. My experience over all was awsome!

Room Tip: if you travel in group go for the private rooms, they are worth it.

This hostel is a good choice for people who are wanting to have a comfortable and safe place to sleep. It offers not much else in amenities, though having WiFi was a huge bonus. There are some great local restaurants easily within walking distance as well as cheap travel (collectivos) to Tulum, Cancun, and other towns two blocks away.

Room Tip: Don't go private unless you have enough people to fill the room. You are issued a lock and key w...

I had a lovely stay! The location was fantastic. It was easy to make friends in the great common area. The dorm rooms were not very good for a good sleep because of the nearby common area -the noise may keep you awake. The hostel staff was super friendly and helpful, I hope to see them some day again!
