Absolutely must get away from the tourist trap drag of 5th Avenue in Playa to get to real, authentic food. Worth the brief walk from the resort areas to get this food. The waitresses are genuine and understand that not many people have tried Venezuelan food, they take their time to explain the menu thoroughly and bring you a sample of four different fruit juices. We had a tough time choosing only 2 of the juices (settled on passionfruit and one I can't pronounce much less spell). The "Venezuelan national dish" is fantastic as well as the selection of kaxapas. Very affordable and wonderful food.
