“Everything you need/want and more!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2010

I stayed here for 2 weeks. The owners & management were very cooperative, involved and concerned that all my needs were met to insure a great vacation. I loved the location, security, and set up of the condo. Must be able to walk stairs though. It was very comfortable, large and the kitchen furnished like a restaurant. The roof top area and view make it a special place in Playa to see the ocean and town as well. I would stay here again. The pictures are accurate as to "what you see is what you get". A wonderful vacation spot.

was happy to find this place.
cozy rooms, warm water, private balcony, all for $40US
two short blocks from beach...
the problems?
okay......
dirty linens, and I got eaten alive by bedbugs
AND
someone came into my room, took my credit card out of my wallet,
wrote the numbers down, and put the card back. clever, eh?
I arrived home today to find lots of charges to internet companies.
was there for one evening, not even 24 hours.
cheap knob lock on door, no dead bolt...

coulda been anyone. I, with no robbery experience, could have broke into this room easily.

loved the place, just wish it was cooler.

  • Liked — cool decor, relaxed atmosphere, secluded, yet in the middle of everything
  • Disliked — Bedbug infestation, not a very secure room

Very clean place and confortable beds.
Dont expect the confort of big hotels but for the price...
Very nice vacation and we felt like something special with the bar and restaurant outside and the great band music.

You'd better like live music til late at night. This place is hoppin', excellent location in heart of Playa. No A/C!!!! Wouldn't recommend it for the hotter months. And bare bones, as $40/night price tag should warn you. But private bath, great location, live music out your doorstep. If that sounds good, it is. We LOVED it. Friendly staff, good drinks, did I mention location? Bar area and much of the hotel is under large trees, right on the main pedestrian street of Playa, 1 block from beach.

We have just returned home from our fifth vacation to Playa.
And i just can't understand all these bad words about the siëst fiësta place.
Last time we were in Playa we spent al little time visiting some hotels for our next trip to Playa, just to check some places out to see what we like.
We alsow took a look at the siësta fiësta hotel. The personel was very frendly and where delighted to show us one of there rooms. For the price they are asking per night i foud nothing wrong with it.

About the bar;
I don't have any complaints here alsow. Very nice staff, meals and drinks are ok and the prices are fine to. And the music is greath. They do go on until 12 in the evening tough!
But if you took a look at the internetsite of the hotel you would have found some text about that.

ps. I think the place is very nice and still has something of the "Playa Del Carmen charm" that it had 7 jears ago. If you want BIG and luxourious you better go to Cancun (grinGOland they call it).

We stayed here in mid august for 2 nights and the heat & humidity was obviously pretty intense and in these decent sized rooms there was little venilation with a ceiling fan and a room fan and thus it was pretty hard to sleep. In addition, the top 40s/U2/marly music bumping from the place downstairs continued until about 1am each evening. Bugs were all over the beds in the rooms that were supported by styrefoam and were less than comfortable, but for $40/night (for 2 people) it wasn't so bad as long as you didn't plan to be in the room. It was a little sketchy when we were "checking out" b/c on the table where you check in/out was a large butcher knife just chillin...not sure what that was for.

A plus of this hotel was the location since it was 2 blocks from the beach and on the main drag of playa. Also, there is a cute little coffee shop accross the street that serves excellent pastries and coffee. Each room also has a balcony with a hammock that was great for relaxing.

Advice, for cheap travelers not so bad, a definate step up from a hostel. Bring bug spray.
