“Bad experience - Easy Tour”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

We got kidnapped for 12 hrs of which 7 of those hours were driving around Mexican country side and 5 hrs actually looking at something.

Of the 5 useful hrs of tour, the only enjoyable time were the 3.5 hrs spent in Chcichen Itza... the Valladolid stop is really unneeded there is NOTHING to see or do in Valladolid ..

the Cenote stop would have been fun, but the tour only stops there for 1 hr , maybe if they would spend less time driving people around Mexico we would have more time to enjoy and the archaeological sites or cenote.

Your are MUCH BETTER off by riding the ADO Buses which take you straight to the site.. you enjoy all the time you want at your leisure, then you can walk to the cenote , enjoy 2+ hours more in the cool water, eat lunch at the Cenote's restaurant hotel..then back to your ADO bus to Playa del Carmen at a reasonable time, and even enjoy the last hours of your hot day at the beach .

Here are a few points copied from a previous review which I thought match exactly how we felt during our tour to Chichen Itza with Easy Tour.

1. A mini van comes and 10+ tourists are packed like sardines in a MINI tiny van after an hour tour in Playa del carmen to pickup all passengers.

2. South to tulum(!) "technical stop" to pick up more passengers to continue packing the van

3.Stop of 40min in Valladolid just to take some pictures. No guiding... Nothing to see there either

4. A 60min stop in a cenote and rushing to take a quick dive in the packed water together with 3-4 big buses and 3-4 minibuses of tourists that arrived at the same time.

5.Lunch at a place that is a disgrace for the mexican cuisine, near the ruins.

7.FINALLY AT THE RUINS at 14.30. After spending all morning somewhere else!!!

8.Guided tour both in english+german that took double time FOR MORE THAN 20-25people

9.FINALLY 30min in a rush to take some pics just before the place closes.

AVOID THEM!!! Do your own tour with ADO. The same applies to the Coba, Tulum tours.. and do not even consider the tours to the natural reserves ... ADO shall be your best friend for everything...

“First time I used Easy tours”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

We loved the tour, had a problem since we paid part of the tour in pesos and part US $. When we got picked up we explained this and did get it straightened out at the office when we went to pick up the second guide. I think they just wrote it off because the van was full of people and they would have been embarrassed not to. The tour was great we went to Coba, Cenotes a Mayan Home apparently like they used to live. (put on) . Van was fine driver fast but good. Lunch great. The only thing missing was the information most tour guides give you along the way about their country. Guide actually fell asleep for a bit which gave us a teaseable moment which was almost as good as the history since I've been to Mexico many times. Love the people and weather. If you get a chance go to Porta Morales lovely little town. Will I use Eas Tours again, probably because of the price.

“Trip to Coba etc with Easy Tours”
Reviewed 7 March 2014 via mobile

Jose Luis approached me about an excursion to Coba, a cenote, a Mayan village and playa Paraiso beach. He offered us the excursion for the price of $47 US....much less than other prices I was quoted. The morning of the tour they were very prompt....only little hitch was there seemed to be an issue with the air conditioning in the van, so we had to switch to another van which wasn't quite as roomy. Our guide, Tony, was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the Mayan culture, Playa Del Carmen and Mexico in general. He was fluent in English and answered all of our questions. We found out he is actually a trained high school teacher, so that explained why he was so good explaining everything to us! I would recommend booking a tour through Easy Tour!

“Excellent”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

We rented a condo in Playa Del Carmen for the month of February and the owner Karl recommended this place at 15th and 2nd to book excursions for us. We had Shasta as our sales person and he was so helpful. He explained every tour we asked about, did not push us into anything. All our tours were just what he told us, they picked us up on time and even a little early. Two of our tours we had Angel for our driver and he was very good. Everyone in the office and all our drivers were helpful and friendly. Whenever we would go by the office the staff remembered us and always asked how we were or if we would like to see Shasta, they would offer to call him at home if we had a question. We would recommend this office and we would use them again if we return to Playa.

“Terrible! KEEP AWAY!!”
Reviewed 21 February 2014 via mobile

We asked our hotel receptionist to book an excursion to chichen itza on our first day in Playa del Carmen. He said that it will be a tour for 14 people smth we accepted:
1. A mini van comes and 14 tourists are packed like sardines in a MINI tiny van after an hour tour in playa del carmen to pickup all.
2. South to tulum(!) "technical stop" in the middle of nowhere for about 1hour...Why?? Don't know
3.Stop 40min in Valladolid just to take some pictures. No guiding
4.40min stop in a cenote and rushing to take a quick dive in the packed water together with 3-4 big buses and 3-4 minibuses of tourists that arrived at the same time.
5.All that time suffocatingly hot in an inappropriate small minivan!!!!!
6.Lunch at a place that is a disgrace for the mexican cuisine, near the ruins.
7.FINALLY AT THE RUINS at 14.30. After spending all morning somewhere else!!!
8.Guided tour both in english+german that took double time FOR MORE THAN 20-25people (NOT max14 as promised)
9.FINALLY 30min in a rush to take some pics just before the place closes.
