“A complete Original like no other”

What an Amazing place, it is definitely an original one off cool place like no other around Innovative world project
An  art world in a world art dialogue

Le Lotus Rouge is an innovative world project. It is based in Playa Del Carmen, Quintana Roo Mexico, that seeks to resolve the dichotomy between traditional educational frameworks and creative exploratory learning methodologies . Le Lotus Rouge provides a platform from which the imagination is ignited through total art immersion and multi-cultural learning experiences.

Clients stumble in, and are immersed into an art world which overwhelms the senses and promotes exploration and experience beyond all expectation.

The concept is underpinned by a belief that "art" shapes our perceptions, sometimes confronting entrenched beliefs creating intrigue and engagement.

The continents of our world are becoming more and more interdependent. It is urgent to learn who we are, and what our cultural identity is. Our cultural identity expresses itself through the arts.
Le Lotus Rouge argues that traditional educational systems deny the essence of the learning process "producing" operational human beings neglecting the development of emotional intelligence. However, this isn't sufficient on a planet which continues to evolve, and grow at ever increasing pace. We have to develop more empathy and emotional intelligence in order to understand each other better, to avoid misunderstandings.
The arts unify civilizations ignoring religious, political, social borders and allow us to understand each other better through our creations. This Project's aim is to implement the otherness in an innovative way, and so contribute to peace in the world, reaching out to anybody from any horizon. This idea is not an utopy!

Within the premises, five salons are re-created representing the ambience and culture of the five continents, facilitating innovative learning interactions. Here students not only take art classes, they also live the arts and the cultural differences through introductions to literatuture and art forms of the five continents, playing piano and other instruments, painting canvases on a world wall, engage in acrobatics at their own pace The aim is to create spontenaety, exploration and expression! Le Lotus Rouge is art in movement.

Further, the premises house a stylized circus tent adorned with theater- circus decorations, transporting clients into a fantastic world of expressivity! Here artistic events like exhibitions, poetry evenings, theatre, dance, circus are held, expanding the imagination of clients.

Culinary arts also play an important role in the learning experiences of clients. Le Lotus Rouge also presents a gourmet restaurant providing culinary encounters through monthly cultural events, incorporating cuisine of the five continents and live music.

Le Lotus Rouge is also working hand in hand with the local community engaging with schools to implement a world citizen spirit, dialogues and exchanges. The quintessence of the philosophy of Le Lotus Rouge is transferred through after school worldcitizen workshops implementing this totally new pedagogical approach towards a better knowledge of the cultures of our planet in all artistic fields. The workshops are accessible to clients of any age. At the end of the course, we provide the successful students with the world citizen Passport.

To sumarise, Le Lotus Rouge is a multicultural and multifunctional oasis of arts in general , with a focus on the arts of the five continents in particular.

Le Lotus Rouge is an oasis of arts where the arts are in movement, LIVING! When clients enter, they are plunged into a totally artistic frame and ambiance which leads them immediately into creative dimensions.

“The most unique place in Playa del carmen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Playa del Carmen has no shortage of restaurants and bars to cater for every taste but nothing compares to this unique, bohemian, fantasy world called "Le Lotus Rouge". Owned and Directed by a well travelled and artistically talented lady named Natasha. Whether you are looking for fabulous food, a drink or just a place to relax amongst some creative art in a unique ambience, this place is a must visit. Very reasonable priced good quality food is getting hard to find in Playa del Carmen and although it is not located on the very touristy 5th Avenue it is well worth the short walk or taxi ride to get there. Le Lotus Rouge also holds creative talks, classes, cultural events and live music nights.

“Real Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2014 via mobile

We went to "Le Lotus Rouge" for dinner last night and will be going back again and again. I had the fish and my wife had the chicken and both were unique and delicious. The chef Gabriol, is a true artist. The combinations and mixtures of ingredients, are unique. The plates arrive looking to good to eat and do not disappoint! Run to this restaurant before he gets taken away to NY or San Fran, Run! Natasha, thank you! Thank you!

“the crazy red place in playa....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

went to the lotus rouge with my daughter for dinner and had a wonderful interesting conversation with the owner who is german and will give you a painting lesson for free! we had a drink while chatting one night and then shared a dinner (portions are quite large) which was a type of salad and sooooo good. the decor is my kind of crazy and 90% red which is my favorite color. there are some interesting pieces in the furniture which is all type of style and time periods, the patios have some odd fun themes and she has 2 oversized rocking horses for adults to "ride" on which i witnessed several older women doing! her people who work there are more like pals and not servers, she puts on interesting plays, art shows for fund raising and soooo much more. natasha is one super fun and interesting educated woman who has lived in different parts of the world and she is eternally young. a must to go to as i did when i returned to learn to paint and next time i go will have to finish my "masterpiece" which i ended up liking when i understood the method she taught me which is NOT what i expected.

We went to Le Lotus Rouge to an "art show" who's proceeded were to go to aid women's abuse issues in the area. Seemed like a good cause and art is always a reason to check out a ne place. I was impressed with it's amazingly unusual decor. Very artistic. I didn't eat anything because there was an auction the minutes we arrived. The auction was not handled well and the artwork being auctioned was amateurish. It took a long time and we never got a chance to eat.

I really didn't like the event, but I would like to go back and try the location again. It was really artistic and unusual. Not a fancy place, a casual place to go for a quick bite, or a different place than everyonthr place in Palaya del Carmen.
