We loved our stay at Natz Ti Ha - unit #J201. Very well maintained condo, from cleanliness to aesthetics/landscaping, security, support staff, and amenities. It is in a great location, close to virtually everything you need but still quiet because it's one block off the craziness of 5th or 10th ave. Perfect for families, friends, or couples who want more flexibility in terms of dining options (you can cook all you want or just walk out the door to a plethora of great restaurants), want to be near a quiet/less busy beach, and want to feel like they are at home - with full kitchen, kitchen bar counter, dining room, patio overlooking the pool, living room, laundry WASHER & DRYER in-unit (this is a luxury in NYC so I got really excited), outdoor pool, and walk-in closet. Really, I want to just retire and live here!
I like to break things down so here we go~
GREAT/CONVENIENT LOCATION
- Quick walk to everything: beach (really just around the corner), ATM (this turned out to be more important than I imagined), upscale restaurants, casual fast service restaurants, a convenience store "XOXO", and Fifth Avenue - which has a ton of food options, clothing shops, souvenir shops, tour package vendors, local accessories vendors, massage shops, etc. and transportation hub!
- Transportation hub: The tour buses/cabs/private vans all stop at 38th and 5th, which is less than five minute walk from the condo....We loved our stay at Natz Ti Ha - unit #J201. GREAT/CONVENIENT LOCATION

- Transportation hub: The tour buses/cabs/private vans all stop at 38th and 5th, which is less than five minute walk from the condo. Unless you rent a car, this location close to the transportation hub will save you a lot of time and energy. FYI, googlemap streetview from 2012 is completely outdated - apparently the neighborhood has been changing with new buildings and more cleaned-up streets every year.
- The beach: Literally around the corner, the beach is smaller than your typical tourists' hang-out beach, but I liked that a lot. It was perfect for a leisurely stroll in the morning or evening before/after a long day. It was never crowded during my stay. Absolutely beautiful. There's a reason the Mahekal Beach Resort is right there next to the condo.
CONDO AMENITIES
- Full kitchen: Had full-size fridge, variety of cookingware, diningware, silverware, zip-loc bags, wraps, aluminum foils, basic condiments etc. We went to Mega-mart after getting some real tacos at El Fogon, and brought back some fruits, vegetables, eggs, and sausage for breakfast/snacks. Kitchen is really well equipped to support all of your basic cooking/food storing/dining needs. Just like home away from home!
- Bathroom: Came with a variety of shampoo/conditioner/bathsoap/handsoap, although the welcome letter had said only soap would be provided. Good quality and plenty of towels. The shower water pressure was strong! and hot water came on instantly. (these things are important to me)
- Laundry: Full-size washer and dryer in unit. Who doesn't need to wash and dry their clothes covered with beach sand, salt water, biodegradable sun blocks, and sweat? You can pack less if you know you can use the laundry. Travel light!
- Livingroom/Patio: Smart TV! and comfy sofas! We were too busy exploring outdoors and didn't really have time to watch tv, but the livingroom was very nice for relaxing. Patio is small but adequate for your chill-and-read type of morning/afternoon.
- Pool: Again, we didn't actually get to use the pool cuz we just went to the beach and cenote instead, but if I had more time, I totally would have used it. Even when there weren't that many people using the pool, I could hear the staff cleaning it day and night. Very well maintained.
CONDO STAFF
Everyone, from property manager to doorman and maintenance guy, was very nice and willing to help whenever you need it. The doorman looked out for our tour van that did not show up for 30 minutes. The maintenance staff knocked on our door to let us know the airport car is waiting for us. We felt very welcomed and safe here.
OTHER TIPS
-Sometimes cab drivers are not familiar with the name "Calle Petrel" (cross street of where the condo is). Just say 40th Street - Petrel is the extension of 40th street.
-If you don't know what to do in terms of tour packages, go to Ricky's Infocenter (street vendor) on 5th Avenue, across from Bertoni Gelato Caffe. Much better deals than anything you can find online, and they were very responsible about any hiccups. We did Xcaret Plus (one full-day) and Tulum/Coba/Cenote/Mayan Village tour (another full-day). Ask to be matched with tour guide: Miguel.
