A great, affordable hotel steps away from 5th avenue and the beach. Great amenities for the price... hot continental breakfast, comfortable mattresses, complimentary beach towels. Friendly staff, Avril provided towels and pointed us in the right direction

We just came back from a 10 day stay at the Bric Hotel and loved the place. No bells and whistles but very clean and conveniently located (right on 5th Ave. and a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach 3 blocks away), and the staff was wonderful. Our room (room 25) was very large and clean, and the beds comfortable. The hotel is very quiet at night and it's hard to believe you're just a few feet away from 5th Ave.! The breakfast was the BEST: pancakes, eggs, bacon, freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt, fruit, and is included in the room rate. The breakfast lady Patti (sp?) is the sweetest lady ever. The hotel pool is lovely and the yard is gorgeous. The only negatives: there weren't any hair dryers in the rooms or at the reception, and we spent an evening/night without any hot water due to a plumbing issue. Other than that our stay was wonderful and we would definitely stay the Bric again!

I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival saying I would be arriving around 2am, no problem whatsoever was the reply, in addition was a request what I would like to find in my room on arrival, as this is a single traveller on vacation the answer was beer and chips, fruit etc, this was all supplied as was a taxi to greet me at the airport.
The small matter of no luggage arriving during my vacation and still not found did not put a dampener on anything, as Abril at the reception provided local chargers for my laptop and mobile phone, way above the call of duty she contacted the airport everyday for anyupdate on my missing baggage. all this and a free breakfast every morning, which was also 5 star,
all the staff were very friendly and nothing was any trouble for them, I truly had a wonderfull time at the Bric Hotel. Thank you all.

Short walk to the beach, close to Avenida Quinta but away from the noise. Staff was friendly and helpful - e.g. Laminated my business card when I realized I had lost my luggage tag since no one was sure where to purchase a new one). Room was clean, some minor electrical problems - noisy ceiling fan, a non-functional wall outlet, but air conditioning and good lighting. Full buffet breakfast, although food not always available if not out early when it was served.

As so many have said, a cute property in a great location. It compares with the Aventura Mexicana and the Hacienda Paradise, which are both very close by. I think the location here is slightly better - closer to the newer part of Playa and beach access is direct down 28th.

The rate is fixed all year round, so in high season this hotel is also the best value of the three. (But perhaps the worst at other times). It is also the quietest, so if you are looking for something very peaceful, this is the place for you. Hacienda is much bigger and it has some rooms backing on 10th avenue which can be noisy. But the Bric is very small and all the rooms face the courtyard and unlike Aventuras, there is no bar in the hotel nor any music blaring to keep you awake. Come her for peace and quiet but not if you want to party with the other guests.

Breakfast is better than Aventuras, but not as good as Hacienda. There is not a lot of variety and they did run out of stuff if we didn't come early enough or weren't patient enough to wait for the one person looking after the buffet to replenish what we were waiting for. But what they had was good, including scrambled eggs and bacon and we always left the table satisfied.

The balcony was more spacious and private than at the Aventura and although the pool was smaller, we always had it to ourselves. We had no complaints and would not hesitate to come back.
