I found that place base on the review that I saw and I stayed in this hotel for 8 days. Wow!!! Such a great and cozy place.
First, they are downtown. 1 block from the 5e Avenue, where everything happen. Not even 5 min walk to the beach. Plenty of restaurant in the area, for any kind of taste.
Second, the room are really clean and well kept. The area is quite and they make sure that the guest are too. No kids allowed, great. No TV, who need one anyway! Not a party place, good place to rest.
Air conditioning, safe, fridge, hammock and a comfy bed, I don't need more than that.
And a good thing about that place is they are environment friendly. They do recycle and they use biodegradable soap. Awesome!!!
And the staff is welcoming, friendly and super helpful. They sell some tour like Chichen Itza and Tulum, but they will recommend only the best for you. They are really honest about the tour that is not worth it.
Definitely a place that I recommend and that I will go back to. Good price!!!!

To put it as simply as possible, we'll be staying here when we go back to Playa. Our room was clean. The staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. The hammock just outside the room was a great touch (perfect for waking up before my SO and getting some morning reading done. Other reviewers summed it up nicely: this is the place to go if you want to be as close as possible to the beach, 5th Avenue, and taxis/colectivos without feeling like you're stuck in the middle of a resort town.

This hotel is exactly what I was hoping for: low-rise (2 stories), relaxed, one short block from the beach, and everything else even more close by - excellent location to be in the middle of everything and yet far enough away to have quiet at night. Playa del Carmen can be noisy at night (the discos/bars begin to blare their bad music at 10 p.m. and go until 3 a.m. ) There were a couple of nights that the neighbours to the hotel were quite noisy with a party, but the management was very concerned that guests were being disturbed and called the police - quiet again at 12 midnite.

It's got a bohemian feel, but with all the comforts you like - comfy bed and pillows, super clean, plenty of hot water, toiletries provided, security, continental breakfast a bonus and a wee patio with individual hammocks. And great staff - all very nice! Super value too!

Great hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, but not fancy. Just two blocks walking to the beach and the main tourist area. Basic breakfast in the morning is included. Has some limited parking guests can use when renting a car

Perfect location, close to everything - 5th Ave, the beach, the Collectivo buses (amazing!), awesome restaurants. Stefano was an amazing help, he gave us lots of information. The room is lovely and comfortable, big bed, hammock, air con, everything you need and great value for money. Would definitely return and stay at Barrio Latino again. This was my first ever trip to Mexico & I fell in love with Mexico & Playa del Carmen.

The rooms are comfortable and the location is absolutely amazing! Just steps from the beach, 5th Ave and some amazingly cheap restaurants that the front desk recommended which were frequented by locals. Despite its central location it was reasonably quiet. Although if you are looking for pin drop silence you should not be staying in central Playa del Carmen. The wifi was fast and reliable and the hammock at the front of every room was a nice touch. The place has a nice rustic feel and tropical charm to it. Breakfast was included - basic but adequate. Staff were friendly. The only issue we had one day while walking out to the beach was being told that we could not take the towels to the beach. This is a silly rule for a place that is almost right on the beach and created a bad vibe unnecessarily- come on, trust your customers a bit more, just like most other hotels do! Despite this hiccup I would recommend this place and stay here again. The advantages far outweigh the trust issue they have about their towels.

First of all, they never returned my emails or sent me a confirmation of my reservation. When I called from Mexico, he said they didn't take airline miles. Finally getting to the hotel to check in, they were not friendly. Instead of Hello, he said we have no t.v., and no children allowed. He scolded me for not taking my safe key with me, which I didn't use. He wouldn't let me use the phone or help me use it for an emergency. There is an odd creepy feeling there. The windows wouldn't lock and my AC was broken, finally they told me to turn it on with the breaker. They don't even allow you to take you breakfast to your room. The only cool thing about that place is they have a hammock on each patio. Horrible customer service all around.

Room Tip: Aventura Mexicana is the place to stay.....trust me on this. That's where I went back to after...

Lady
we have explained that no message has been ignored by management: if as in your case, the reservation is by Expedia Group, we have no access to the address that you are using, and we can not even respond to your requests because it has to do with the seller. We could not respond or redeem miles.
The system of air conditioning works, so we asked you to pick up the switch, or how could it be turned on? With the switch on, it works with the remote. With the switch off, it doesn't.
We have created a nice area of the restaurant with a coffee service in the morning and many other occasions in the afternoon to cope with travelers who visit us. It 'nice when customers use it and have breakfast with the others, anyway some local laws require that the consumer is made outside the rooms.
To the other customers : please call the seller when you book outside our website channels, or we won't be allowed to take any decisión about your booking, thank you.
