I stayed in a private room in August. As this was my first hostel I have stayed at it went well above my expectations. The rooms were clean and the people were friendly. At night the courtyard is buzzing with people. Be sure to ask the reception what tours and activities they have on for the day. This is close to 5th avenue Main Street and about a 15 minute walk to the beach.

We travelled with a group of 14 guys and had a great time at this Hostel! Lots of activities, very friendly staff, great atmosphere. I would say this hostel is exactly the kind of hostel which travellers in a group or solo search for.

Me and my frriends spent 2 nights in the hostel and had a great time. We stayd in a 6 bed dorm with aircon. The bathroom and hostel is clean. The breakfast is ok. Every night the hostle offers a different programmed. We joined for the Burgers and Salsa sessions. The stuff is friendly and helpful. Even when the aircon wasnt working for a night we got part of the money back.

This is a great hostel if you want something inexpensive and in a great location as well as having awesome common areas to meet other travellers. We stayed in a 4 person dorm with ensuite and while the room was fairy basic, it was big, the beds were fairly comfy, it had aircon and a ceiling fan and the shower always had hot water. The main common area is a big central courtyard with palm trees and hammocks with a really decently-priced bar; an excellent area to meet other travellers. While it was very social, it never turned into a huge party..at least not there at the hostel. The staff are young and incredibly friendly and helpful and the hostel itself runs daily trips or activities: one day might be a trivia night, the next day might be a free trip to go swim with turtles. Location is also great being only 1 block from the main drag and close to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

I was in a 12 bed dorm. We all shared one bathroom, which concerned me. I then noticed the bathrooms are cleaned very often per day. There were also other bathrooms in common areas (kitchen). The kitchen was very nice. The main area outside was very nice. Hammocks, chairs, tables, giant jenga blocks, and music plays constantly. The music selection was pretty nice. The wifi was iffy. They have water available to refill water bottles for $4 pesos which is an amazing deal. They also sell cold bottles of water for $15 pesos. The corner stores sell water for $11 pesos. I personally loved refilling my water bottles up & sticking them in the freezer. The hostel is in the perfect spot! Wal mart, many corner stores & of course the very popular 5th Ave is all within a couple block of walking. An ADO bus station is also a block away. The beach is a couple blocks away, however it is not a beautiful beach. The beautiful beach is a walk down past the ferry. The staff will help direct you. It is a dramatic difference, very much worth the walk. The AC comes on at 10pm which is a drag. The beds aren't comfy. The breakfast is pretty nice. I was always happy to wake up for it. The staff is very helpful, as they should be as well as always smiling and happy.

I´m Mexican and i´ve been traveling around my country and so far this is the best hostel i´ve been the only recommendation to them is to make sure the air in the 12 beds room works better, really good option if you are looking for a young traveling experience.
