This gem on the quiet end of 5th is probably my favorite spot in Playa! Amazing traditional drinks, to-die-for truffles and locally-sourced cacao infused into dishes like tamales, ravioli and lasagna. The breakfast and coffee are both great, too! I love the atmosphere, and everyone who works there is super sweet.

Check out the photos on the wall of the plantation where their cacao beans come from! I love this place :)

Loved the chocolate combinations including chocolate fettuccine with pesto and chocolate coriander dressing for salad. It's a little outside the main pedestrian area, so quiet. Family-run place with the genuine service that comes with that. We really liked it and are planning to come back.

Visited here last year, was impressed by the attention to detail and quality .. This year am still seriously impressed with everything!..Presentation of food is flawless, quality and taste experience ditto. The chocolate fettuchini with pesto sauce is amazing and seeing the kitchen is always good right?.. The menu is interesting and any questions well answered. Being a picky, fussy vegetarian I have no problems eating here and I'm sure the meat dishes are equally as fantastic as my experience here.... It's tasteful, informal and friendly.

Camino Ka'Kaw probably has one of the most original menus in Playa, and really made me re-consider chocolate and cocoa. The cold corn drinks are a must, refreshing and not too sweet. I haven't tried the main dishes but my neighbours' were very appetizing (and the 90 peso menu du jour is a true bargain, 3 dishes and a drink for the price in Playa is unbeatable). One hidden gem, worth the walk!

Had breakfast here and really enjoyed the tamales with chocolate and cream sauce and the waffle with chocolate sauce and fruit. And the complimentary brownie while we waited for our order was to die for. Try this place for a change of pace.
