“Great hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2013 via mobile

We stayed there three nights and enjoyed it very much.
The hotel is located five min. walk from the main road (5th Av.), and 1 min. From the colectivo station (to both Tulum and Cancun).
The place and the rooms look exactly like the professional pictures!! The hotel is very pretty and clean and the staff is very nice and welcoming.
Very recommended!! :)

We stayed here as part of a tour group.

This is a great place to stay and is conveniently located very close to 5th avenue, but it does not feel like you are so close to the busy street.

Rooms were clean and the central courtyard was a lovely place to relax. There is free Wi-Fi, but you can't access this is all of the rooms. There are comfy chairs overlooking the courtyard where the signal is very good.

There is breakfast available at the hotel for 30 pesos. We did not stay at the hotel for breakfast so I can't comment on whether it is any good. There are lots of places nearby.

The only thing that let this hotel down was that approximately 1,000 pesos (approx. £55) was taken from my partner's bag in the room. We didn't realise at the time, but have raised this subsequently with our tour company and the hotel directly.

Beautiful and unique with almost everything you can wish for in a boutique hotel. The design is typical mexican with tasteful attention to details, the beds and linens are EXCELLENT and smell lovely. Wonderful swimming pool area. Great staff to welcome you and provide help without being intrusive. The rooms are spacious, the aircon works wonders, and the tv offers an ample choice of channels.

Only (minor) complaints are:
1/the WiFi only works in public areas, mainly the reception and around the pool.
2/the breakfast is cheap coffee (espresso costs extra) bread and biscuits, served in the worst dining-room you can imagine: HOT,uncomfortable and infested with mosquitoes...doesn't even feel it belongs to the same hotel! Don't bother, there are many restaurants serving great and inexpensive breakfast in the neighborhood.
3/finally the bathrooms are tiny and not up to the standard of the hotel.Cheap shower curtain, very low pressure in the shower, yet it manages to flood the floor around the toilet so you've got to mop it afterwards because it is so poorly designed.

Otherwise a great place to unwind and relax after a hard day exploring the region :-)

Located in the center of town, close to the bus station and shopping which was great. The price was certainly fair $80 per night. It was very hot so the A/C was welcomed, but it cycled on and off through the night so it was freezing or hot most of the time. The second night I actually used the extra blanket. I must say that the beds were super hard and the sheets felt sort of scratchy, but what do you expect at this price. The decor was really cute and colorful and staff was very friendly. There are large trees in the center of the hotel that attract many birds. I loved waking to their tropical calls in the morning. Really cool! Light breakfast (though we only had coffee) was available for purchase in the lobby, which was convenient.

Room Tip: If you have an upstairs room you have to carry your bags up-no elevator.

This hotel in Playa del Carmen was one of my two favorites during my 10 day group tour of the Yucatan and points south. Unusually large hotel grounds, I thought, for being in the heart of the city. Wonderfully landscaped. Spacious rooms. Helpful staff. This was one of the few hotels that offered a dining area for breakfast during the tour; I didn't eat there but I thought I'd mention that the option is available. In easy walking distance of the beach, gift shops, and eateries.

Was greeted by very friendly staff. The room was big, clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel is located near all amenities and near excellent places to eat, shop and all basic needs.
The garden is lavish and beautiful and even if I personally was not tempted to use the little pool there it was a great detail in the decoration. I did not have breakfast at the hotel since I like to have scrambled eggs but there were plenty of restaurants and places nearby. I loved all the tips from the owners and I highly recommend this place if you want holidays without the movement of the 5ta avenida.

We had an incredible 2 weeks in hotel casa de las flores. The staff was really kind and always laughing.
Rooms are colorful and spacious. The bathroom was also very clean!
The only thing we would like to improve is the breakfast, a little bit more choice would be great. But for 30 pesos there's not a lot to complain.
