If you are tired of tourist traps and high prices go to El Corcho. This is a little Mexican Italian restaurant where their owners Estela an Antonio will treat you with great food. You will find Mexican and Italian dishes made at the moment. Pasta is made from scratch at this restaurant. You can find delicious chiles en nogada, pozole (Saturday) and different dishes that change every day. If you stomach is not up to Mexican food try the delicious Italian options such as lasagna, pasta al pesto, arrabiata and more. Don’t forget to try their deserts; I had the tiramisu and my wife the apple strudel.
At El Corcho we sat at the terrace which is very nice and comfortable. They also have free wifi.
It’s a little out of the way but it was worth the 15 min walk from la 5ta avenida
