We read up on their tours on Tripadvisor.ca. It was very well done.

We signed up for the snorkling tour with Tulum ruins additonal. We also paid for the guide to take our photos. We are picked up from our hotel in Cancun (extra fee for Cancun pickup) and taken to the head office, after picking up another couple.

At Ed's office, we fitted our snorkel gear and fins, bought the suntan lotion then headed out for the ruins on our own. The beach there is small but amazing. Ruins are hot so take the water.

Then we drove out to Dos Ojos Cenote and it was an amazing experience. Daniel, our guide, took great care of us and took hundreds of photos, lots of options to choose later. Going into the batcave was scary but worth it. The colors are amazing.

Next we went to Akumal Bay and swam with the turtles. We got within 4 feet of multiple turtles. Dan got at least 20 perfect shots of us with the turtles.

Finally, the natural lagoon at Yal-ku. Great lunch with pulled pork and rice with a cerveza, then mostly snorkel on our own. Great colors and variety of fish here. Make sure you go to the shallow areas, as plenty of fish feed there. Calm waters, great snorkling experience.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone. We've gone on excursions in Jamaica, Dominican, Cuba, Cabo etc. This was worth $150 per person total (including photos and pickup).

Dan is a great guide. I have 2 suggestions for improvement though:

a. Thank you for the hundreds of perfect photos you took of us. The CD was perfect. It would be amazing if we could linger a little longer where the sunlight comes through on the cenote water, as the colors are out of this world. something we did not capture on our camera or yours :(
b. Second, please take photos of the surroundings as well, as you are more expert with underwater photos, and we need to show our friends how beautiful the cenote was.

Otherwise, thanks guys. great adventure. Recommended.

I have to say- it is always nice to come back and see you guys! We have spent time with you on each of our trips since we first found out about you and I have to say we still have as much fun these many years later as we did the first time!! The ziplines were AWESOME!! Even those who were afraid to try on last vist felt very safe and gave it a go this time around!! Loved the lunch out in the jungle as well!! The snorkeling- again as amazing as always. Thanks for making things work out for us and our mixed up schedule - sorry about that by the way!! We really did have a GREAT time again and as always will let people know about you! Oh, one thing I did want to say - is thank you for being so forthcoming we know we can trust you & your team as we have unfortunatly found out that is not always the case with some tour groups.....Keep up the great work!! See you next time!

My friend and i did the extreme tour after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We weren't too keen on the sound of Xel Ha and Xcaret and this seemed a more real way of doing things.
The day was great and our guide Raoul was also great as were his helpers. Zip lining was lots of fun and put us all at ease and felt very safe and secure. Cenotes were an interesting experience. lunch was tasty but i think the highlight for me was the afternoon snorkelling with the giant turtles at akamal beach and then snorkelling in the lagoon with lots of fish. and travelling through the jungle on the atv was also fun.

My adult daughter and I just returned from visiting the Riveria Maya for a week. A friend in Seattle recommended I contact Edventures for any tours. She had gone out with them 4 years ago and said it was the best day of her whole trip. And we absolutely agree with her! We were picked up at our hotel, taken to the dive shop and outfitted with snorkel gear and water. Did Tulum ruins which were incredible, then three fantastic snorkel experiences with a Mayan lunch by the lagoon. Turtles, fish, caves, squid -- what's not to love?! There were 5 in our group and we had a blast with each other. Danny, our guide, was fun, personable and knowledgeable. And George, our driver, was kind and drove us a long way back to our hotel, all done with a smile.

WE did the full day tour and it could not have been better. Ed and his employees gave us a day we have not been able to stop talking about! My wife and I went with her nephew and niece. We are all still talking about it days later.
