Wow! I'm from New Orleans and I am usually underwhelmed by most restaurants anywhere in the world. We went to Tabano and the dishes were phenomenal. The layers of flavor in any one dish and combinations of taste, texture simply floored us. This is Mexican high cuisine that is difficult to find anywhere in Mexico much less anywhere on the Peninsula. We have tried 9 entrees at Tabano and each time left the restaurant more amazed than before. Their mole is fantastic but so are the stuffed jalapeños and everything else we tried. Tabano also has a great wine list- another aspect we appreciated. The ambiance is relaxed but so is every other place on the beach road. You can see the women cooking and how much they enjoy it. In fact, all of the employees appear genuinely happy to be there. Can't wait to go back!
