We have been vacationing in Tulum for the past three years and go there for the casual and no-frills experience.
However, with 30 family members flying in from around the US, the grooms folks wanted to treat everyone to a special night before the wedding.
Hechizo was fantastic for this. Chef Stefan Schober and his Pastry Chef wife Ying-Hui Thai were friendly, thoughtful and attentive when developing the (food and wine) menu and the execution was even better.
It was a European quality evening with an excellent location, chef, service, food and wine.
The cocktails on the patio over-looking the beach followed by the three course meal complete with warm chocolate souffle made this crowd (that eats at top restaurants in SF, DC, NY and BOS) very happy.
Chef Stefan was wonderful to everyone throughout the evening, he even made up beds for the young kids near the dining area.
We can't say enough great things about the whole experience.
