“Great Hotel, Greater People”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

If there are nicer people out there running hotels I don't know them. From Alex on the desk to the room maids we were most impressed with their hospitality. The hotel is very cute located perfectly on the north side of town a block away from the restaurants and two blocks from the road to the beach. While we were there the road was being fixed. I bet it is finished by now. Our room was basic and clean, just what we wanted. AC, hot water and a mini fridge is all you need for a beach vacation. If I was forced to find an imperfection I'd have to mention the bed that both me and my wife found to be a bit hard. But it is purely subjective, of course. I would most definitely recommend this hotel. I know I will be staying there again.

This stuccoed place looks a little flint stones with its formed couches and bed fittings that are part of the structure. Quiet location near some great restaurants and sources of bottled water. It's in the town so a fair way from the beach (but you can't have it both ways in tulum!) but there are cheap bike rentals if you don't fancy taxis.
Beautiful pool,
Helpful front desk and immaculately clean, I thoroughly recommend this place.

We liked this place. Took a bit to find given that it is very close to the main drag but that probably reflects our incompetence more than anything else. Nice room, clean basic, hard bed but felt like a nice spot and cute little pool ideal for refreshing yourself after a day of exploring.
Location was great close to shops and amenities and not too far from bus station.
Wifi is free but weak and marginal in our room.

Room Tip: Choose furthest from the street and upstairs for privacy

This hotel is very nice located in a bit of a rundown part so it sticks out a bit, but still very close to the main road which has the shops, and places to eat. There is know breakfast here, but a short walk you can find good places to eat. The hotel offers bike hire which I recommend. It's about a 30 minute bile ride to the ruins which are well worth a visit and the beautiful beach below the ruins where the sea water is very warm. The wifi worked well, my room was comfortable and clean, with good air con. The staff were very friendly, and helpful.

First, the pictures on the website make this loom like a lovely spot. It it not.

The neighborhood is sketchy. The road is unpaved. I didn't like walking outside after dark. The bed was hard and uneven. The sheets were scratchy. The couch was cement with thin cushions. There were roaches, one of which crawled across the sheets when I got in bed my first night. Yuk. Using the safe requires a $50 US, cash deposit. Anyone with intent could be in your room in seconds.

I checked out early even though I had to forfeit 2 nights I had paid for. I didn't care. I could not stay there. It was perhaps my worst hotel experience since a hostel in Izmir.

Do yourself a favor and stay on the beach.

Good location for eating out at night, a lot of choice within 3 minutes walk. Rooms were clean and basic. Staff were very helpful and came to fix ceiling fanand broken toilet seat immediately. Their website gives the impression that it would be a bit special but it doesn't really match up.
No one went in the swimming 'pond' in the three nights we stayed apart from using it to wash their diving gear. The wifi does only work when sitting near the desk. Breakfast is not included but you can buy it from the little cafe which is part of the hotel. Better breakfasts only 3 mins up the road though.
It's a much cheaper option than staying down in the hotel zone on the beach and if you've got a dar then the beach is 10 mins away. Ideal place if you're using it to go out all day but not really a hotel to relax in.

Room Tip: Probably better to be upstairs on the second level if you don't want people walking past your be...

We stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon. It was as one would expect in a two star hotel. The room was clean, but far more humid than outside, and there was hardly any hot water. Breakfast is not included (charged at 9 pesos per person), and the location is a bit questionable. Alex and the rest of the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.
