We spend two wonderful nights on the hotel with our 2 years old son and everything was great. The manager, waiters and front desk staff are extremly helpfull and friendly. We fellt like home. We stay at the new renovated room that is super clean, big, very fresh, airy and nicely decorated.
The beach is great and there is a swimming pool that is perfect for kids.
Definetly Las Ranitas is a place you don´t want to miss!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Choose Coqui 3 Cabaña!!!!!!

My girlfriend and I booked 5 nights at Ranitas, we were coming from Playa del Carmen. We wanted to get away to a place with less people around and more quiet, so Tulum was the answer. Ranitas Hotel was recommended to us by people we meet in Playa del Carmen, so we did some research and saw all the good reviews it had and decided to book it. When we arrived at the hotel and entered the lobby the view of the sea was amazing, it was crystal clear water and a beach so clean you can only see on postcards. Immediately we got greeted by all the staff members and straight away they were helpful with us and carried our bags. Also the receptionist found our reservation when we gave her our names and said they were waiting for us. Then they took us to our room just to find out it was a beautiful cabin on the beach with a hammock outside the balcony and inside a king size bed with a big bathroom, closet and safety deposit box. We had an amazing 5 days there, I will definitely recommend this hotel to everybody, families, couples and travelers. All the staff took care of us on our stay, specially the manager Jesus, who was always friendly and making sure we were OK. Thanks Ranitas Hotel, will come back soon.

My wife and I and 28 of our closest friend and family had the pleasure of celebrating our 10 year vow renewal at Las Ranits last month.
Having never seen this resort and having chosen it based solely on a referral from another hotel we had no idea what to expect. Not only had we never seen this spot but we also were referred to the hotels wedding coordinator Angelina Cardenas whom we only spoke with online or via email. What a blessing both turned out to be.
Angie took our vision of a romantic vow renewel ceremony on the beach and turned it into an all inclusive event filled with food, flowers, candlelight, mayan ceremony, photographer, pinata and open bar. It was a spectacular evening that we will all remember for years to come.
Pedro the restaurant manager was amazing! Him and his staff worked tirelessley to make sure the food was cooked to perfection and that everyone had whatever they needed throughout the evening even making minor changes to accommodate various guest needs.
Las Ranitas is a beautiful location set on a wonderful stretch of beach with all the amenities you need for a simple hassle free getaway or special event. Definately worth the drive!!

Room Tip: The hotels wedding planner Angelina Cardenas is truly remarkable. Give her your vision and she WILL...

Stayed here May 20-25 and it was fantastic. First time my wife and I have stayed at a small boutique hotel in Mexico. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful beach and the food also can't be beat. We stayed in an upper floor arlequin room with patio and hammock. Definitely one of the more private room options. Never had to fight over hammocks or beach chairs. Would definitely return for our winter vacation.

We came to Las Ranitas for a close friend's wedding celebration. We couldn't have asked for a better spot for our first international vacation with our 9.5 month old son. Well, to be honest, it was a fantastic spot regardless of our infant.

The beach is beautiful, and the rooms comfortable, but the staff at Las Ranitas make the resort what it is. Over the course of the first few days, we got to know the restaurant/bar/beach waitstaff by first name, and they made us feel part of their family. The management is ever-present — restaurant/bar manager Jesus and GM Omar were friendly and attentive throughout our visit — but not overbearing.

Most importantly, our comfort and our infant's comfort were clearly a priority for the staff. We frequently requested special food preparation for our son, and the kitchen was always willing to accommodate.

Over the course of our stay, we ate 2-3 meals a day on property. The food was delicious — including a never-ending supply of guacamole — though by our last couple of meals, the menu seemed a bit limited.

Our room (Chillona12) was spacious and directly above the restaurant which actually was a great win, as we could meet up with friends in the evening at the bar and have our baby monitor by our side. Our son rarely woke up with the ever-present waves crashing to drown out any major noise.

The day/evening of the wedding, the palapa-covered restaurant was transformed into a beautiful reception area/dance floor and we all partied until the wee hours. The same staff worked double-shifts to make everything perfect for the bride and groom.

We had no major issues with mosquitoes, as Las Ranitas is not on the jungle-side of the road, but we also landed there during a low-rain time, which helped.

Las Ranitas was the perfect resort at the perfect time. We would, and likely will, return in the future. We so enjoyed the beach (warm water, relatively small but fun waves), the staff (Renaldo was our favorite server), and the warmth and hospitality we experienced throughout our stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in Chilona 12 and were very happy there. Every room is different. The website is somewhat...

Las Ranitas is a great value in Tulum. It is in the hotel zone....a little far down the hotel zone so if you like to go to Tulum Pueblo it is about a 20 minute car ride. Overall this is a solid hotel. The rooms are a bid small but the great beach more than makes up for it. The rooms are very basic. Bed and closet and maybe a very small couch. The rooms do have nice view. We stayed in room 9 which is on an upper floor and faces the ocean. I was glad that we did not stay on a ground floor room as the privacy is limited in those rooms. The doors which are all glass face out and anyone can look in or walk by your door and who wants to shut their curtains with the beautiful views. Let's say that I saw a few embarrassing moments on the ground floors. The beach is one of the best on the area. I especially like the chairs and the ambience that they have created. The one thing I can't understand is the high prices at the bar - one hundred nighty pesos for a margaritas with Don Julio. Yes it is a premium brand but everywhere in the area the same drink will cost you between one hundred and one hundred twenty pesos. Lastly, the food in the restaurant is average and even on the disappointing side. There are much better choices within walking distance. So the four stars are for the great beach and for the value of the rooms

Room Tip: The higher floors have more privacy.
