Loved this place, very simple well-cooked food in a beautiful location. Key lime pie divine! The best part was the fact that we went fishing with the company based opposite Zamas, ( They are really professional, 3 hours of fishing with 2 great guides who really made an effort to meake sure our kids had the best time!) We caught 3 edible fish and Zamas grilled them for us to perfection at a very small charge! Staff are super friendly and all food was very nice for a decent price!

We have eaten here before and enjoyed our meal. This time, not so much. There were only a few people there and it is off season..but.... poor service and so so food. Ordered salads and pizza. Pizza was burnt. Will skip it next time if we go back to Tulum. Maybe better for lunch?

It was our last night in Tulum on our honeymoon. We had passed by this restaurant several times and it always seem happening. I was looking for a lively, but romantic atmosphere and hubby wanted a taste of American food. At Zamas we found both. We 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 2 pizzas (we wanted leftovers) and the bill came out to be about $40. It was Saturday night and the best part was a world music trio named Bole was playing. The music and the sound of the ocean was a lovely backdrop to our last evening. I would have preferred more Mexican dishes, but that was a minor quibble to a perfect night.

Zamas has the best ambience among the restaurants we ate at in the area. The live music was incredible, as was the international cuisine and wine. We sat outdoors and close to the beach, which was pleasant and breezy. The highlight of the night though was the hundreds of turtles that hatched in a nest nearby while we were there, trying to make their way to the sea. The staff at the restaurant did their best to help the baby turtles get to the water, which was an endearing sight. If we are ever in Tulum again, this will be the first restaurant we visit, for sure.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in Tulum for 5 days and had breakfast here one day and lunch/snack on another. The stuffed french toast is the stuff that dreams are made of. SO GOOD! We came back and split the grouper club for a snack later in our trip and that was yummy as well. Can't beat the ambience and the perfectly beautiful view of the ocean. Very reasonably priced, especially considering the prime location.
