This past week at the Beach Tulum was absolutely perfect. I am a solo traveler and am very selective about where I stay. Quality of the room, surroundings, and overall vibe are very important to me. I like to be in nature but also like a bit of luxury when I travel.
With that in mind, the Beach Tulum was the best place I could have stayed. This is my third time to Tulum and now I will never stay anywhere else. The staff is so welcoming you feel like you have been connected for ages. They genuinely care about your experience there and will do anything to make your trip top-notch. Special mentions to: Roman, Sylivina, Aubrey, Nery, Jeronimo. They each went out of their way to ensure that I had a great trip. They really enjoy what they do and it shows.
Note: I got sick from food (from another hotel, NOT the Beach) and I was so well cared for at this hotel, from them arranging a doctor to medicine, to checking on me periodically, to finding me food I could eat, etc. It was incredible. Special thank you to Roman for such excellent care.
I had both a deluxe upstairs room and a deluxe ground floor room (had a pre-planned room change). Both rooms were the same except for the upstairs room had a private roof deck and the ground floor room had a patio. Both have hammocks and a little daybed with table and chairs. The rooms are large and well kept, with a large bathroom (double sinks) and beautiful stone bathtub/shower. The rooms are minimalistic which I liked. I was literally steps from the beach and could hear the ocean at all times.
The hotel has beach beds and beach chairs. Security was present throughout the day and evening so I always felt safe and could jump in the ocean without worrying about my belongings.
The restaurant Ziggys is great, too. Celi and Ulysses and Erick and many others are on hand to give you a great dining experience. They are all smiles all the time. It adds an extra special touch to the experience of being there. As for the bees that others have mentioned, they are NOT an issue (at least in mid February). The food is excellent and the view is stunning.
The hotel can arrange any kind of tour (go with Nick to see the sea turtles and cenote), massage, etc.
I highly recommend the Beach Tulum. My stay was magical. It is five-star service in paradise.
