“Big space & good location.”

Firstly the hotel is extremely well kept and immaculately clean. The apartments are a great size with lots of comfortable features and useful facilities. A really large comfortable bad makes for a great nights sleep (see below) and huge closet space too. Very modern and spacious bathroom with free quality toiletries.
The staff were all amazing, really helpful and super friendly. Assisted in us getting to the best spots in the region and also helped translate when the hire car got delivered. They would bend over backwards to assist and we actually felt like losing good friends when we left!!
The only down sides were noise and proximity to town; one night (out of 6) we were disturbed by a noisy disco nearby. Plus there is currently building work being carried out next door so make sure you get a room on the other side (although they don't start until 8.30am). Central town is a 5-10 minute walk away and there's not yet any decent footpath to get there, you have to walk alongside the road.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend the Palms Luxury in Tulum. Best to stay in/near town and travel to the beach by the free bicycles on offer.

The hotel is perfectly located between Tulum and the beach and cenotes. Best feature is the fully equipped apartments you are getting for the price. Making your own breakfast is priceless. Free bikes, very friendly service!
The pool is a big small, but hey, you're in Tulum! go to the beautiful beach instead! who really needs a pool.

My husband and I decided to stay for a few days in Tulum town as our beach hotel was fully booked for the weekend (because of a wedding). I was a little reluctant to leave the beach but Palms Tulum exceeded all my expectations. As you go into the hotel, it is like stepping into an oasis of calm from the hot street. The hotel is very smart, spacious, clean and with all mod cons you could want. In addition, there was free coffee, biscuits and mineral water available at all times in the reception. Our room was bigger than the flat we used to live in with a kitchen and large sitting room (including tv, dvd player and lots of dvds to borrow for free at reception). But best of all was the gorgeous and extremely clean swimming pool and pretty grounds which, after a hot day wandering around Tulum town, were wonderful. The other great thing is that the hotel is at the right end of Tulum town if you want to go to the beach, ie it's a short bike ride away (almost all on a designated cycle lane) and the hotel has plenty of bikes (in very good condition) for you to use free of charge. At the end of our 3 nights at Palms Tulum, I was reluctant to leave! In summary, a great base if you want to explore Tulum town and beach without paying the higher prices of some of the hotels at the beach.

Nice apartment hotel but close to a very loud disco. On the nights the disco is happening it is very disturbing and goes very late into the night. Hotel is some distance from main area of city but walkable, although there are no sidewalks. Good choice except the disco noise is a serious problem over which the hotel has no control.

This hotel is brand new, the rooms are like small apartments. The bedroom has a king sized bed, 2 closets and 2 dressers, perfect. The hotel does not have a lot of water pressure, but the water was hot. Excellent free WIFI. It is within easy walking distance to the central part of town and a large grocery is close by. This is a new part of town, I would call it transitional. There are no sidewalks along the highway, so your walk into town is not the best. The back roads are an option, but were flooded out when we were there (bring sturdy shoes). The hotel has free bikes, we rode to the beach every day and even rode out to Gran Cenote (I guess they don't recommend this, but we did fine, it was fun). The front desk staff was helpful for booking tours, we did a Sian Kaan trip and Chichen Itza via Easy tours (very cheap). We walked to the Tulum ruins from the hotel, there is a paved path all the way there (2 or 3 km walk) you could easily ride bikes there everything is flat. The hotel has a deal with Paraiso Beach club (not sure of the spelling), really nice and excellent ceviche (the best I've ever eaten). Tulum was great, 100% better than the all inclusive experience in Playa.

Room Tip: Rooster at the restaurant behind hotel crowed at 4 am, earplugs????

Excellent service and friendly staff especially Maria. Our spacious suite was well equipped with a kitchenette, very clean and new. Coffee and snacks in the lobby were nice. Kids enjoyed the pool. The only issue we had was with the WIFI. We stayed in the top unit and the WIFI signal is too weak.

We stayed here on the first leg of our Yucatan honeymoon. We spent 4 nights here, and we've recommended it to everyone we hear of heading to Tulum. It's well worth the money you save by not staying on the beach. The "rooms" are actually fully appointed apartments with balconies, kitchens, and the best air conditioning we had in Mexico.
