“Incredible pasta”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

This review is only about the restaurant. We stayed in another hotel nearby but ate here 5 times in a week! The pasta is made onsite and is among the best we've ever had anywhere in the world. I can't understand the bad reviews about the food. Yes it is pricey, but so is everything else in Tulum beach area. Pasta dishes were 200-300 pesos. Beachfront seating at tables or lounges. Very high quality food in my opinion.

The food is fantastic and the place too but you have to choice your table because there are so many people and you can eat with the waitress that shot you when passing between tables. In Mexico with less price you can have better Service and larger tables.

There is some confusion on TA regarding the reviews here. Yes Posada Margherita is a restaurant, but it is also a charming B & B, so be careful where you post your reviews. We stayed in room 3 on the second floor for 2 nights and really enjoyed our visit. The owners are charming, you feel like you're being welcomed into their extended family when you arrive, yet they are respectful of your privacy in all things. Our room looked out over the gardens and the beach, and it was just beautiful. Nice and roomy, with an expansive outside porch and a nice breeze. Room was beautifully decorated with what looked like original art. The location was great as well, perfect for nice long walks in either direction - head south to Coqui-Coqui or Ziggy's for a change of pace, both within an easy stroll. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Room 3 was nice, but Room 8 looked like it had the best view, although it was closer to the restaura...

Most expensive pasta you will ever have. Great set up. Loved the decor. Great wine. Not Mexican in any way shape or form in either decor or food. But maybe that's what you want. I think it was extremely expensive for what we got but I suppose Tulum is known for that.

Too expensive for that not good at all food. The pasta are overcooked and tasted nothing. For sure, they don't know how to cook... Pasta and fish were horrible and the staff don't really care about customers.
We were all disapointed (we are a family of 3).
I really don't understand why this restaurant is seem to be popular...
Please don't go there.

The combination of the food with the incredible view is priceless. The seafood is delicious and the ecologic style of this place is amazing! Really THE best place to have lunch (for example after visiting the ruins in Tulum).

We chose this place for its reputation. The setting is beautiful with a great view of the ocean. The service was good. The finest part of the meal was the flat breads and pasta that they make on site. This was top class.
The red snapper with mushroom was good but not something I would order again.
The shrimp was actually bordering on stale. It is overpriced and not a place I would go back to.
