This was the best hostel I stayed at throughout my trip. Cynthia, Lobo, Alex and Romario were welcoming and friendly, always available for tips and advice while managing to create a relaxed and unintrusive atmosphere. Top features include the legendary breakfasts (different every day), free bikes (regularly maintained to a good standard), perfect location for the ruins and beach (the highlight of Tulum), comfy beds, large yet intimate communal areas and a well supplied kitchen with plenty of room for storage. The supermarket or Tulum town are just a 10 minute bike ride away. The environment was friendly and sociable where all are welcome to join conversations or groups for visiting sights, excursions or nights out. Whether travelling alone or in a group, young or young-at-heart, feel like making friends or enjoying your own time this hostel suits all types and needs.

I booked two nights here recently, and ended up staying for six. The location is great for exploring the ruins, located a few minutes walk away. The hostel offers a free bike service, which is convenient for going to the beach, cenotes, and into town. The hostel is located about 5 minutes by bike from the town.

The hostel staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is cooked for you each morning, and each day of the week the breakfast is different, ranging from pancakes with maple syrup, to poached eggs on muffins, to crepes with fried bananas. Each breakfast was great, and with unlimited coffee it`s a perfect start to the day.

I would highly recommend this hotel and rate it highly.

Cynthia and Lobo are wonderful hosts in this lovely hostel close to the ruins and the beach. I stayed for over a month during the Christmas/New Year's holidays and it was full and very busy but that made it all the more special because Cynthia and her staff cooked special dinners for both eve's of the holidays. You are treated like family and the breakfast is wonderful and different every morning. It is a hostel, though. More for "travelers" and less for "tourists" looking for a bargain place to stay, so if you are not used to community rooms, shared bathrooms, community dining, and shared experiences - don't stay here. I met amazing and interesting people from all over the world and I would say, come and stay just for that. Come for the beach (that's why I was there, escaping the winter, up north) and see the sights and relax! Catch up on your reading, surf the web, make new friends, exchange ideas and have some fun! The Lobo Inn is a nice place for a home base to explore in and around Tulum. Thank you, Cynthia and Lobo.........you know you are on my list for places to escape to next Winter. Aloha!! Sam

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they speak both english and spanish, the breakfast is different everyday and the bikes are fine, we didn't had problems with them. Its the hostel with the best location in tulum and the kitchen is fully furnished. Most of all we liked the good vibe of the place and of the visitors, everyone happy and talkative in the common areas and during breakfast. Most of the bad rewiews lie. The staff don't steal and dont even ask the passports

I stayed 4 nights here and it was truly a fun and rewarding experience. I met some awesome fellow travelers and made some really good friends in the process. The place itself is in a good location. The ruins are across the street and theres a small shop across the street that serves some decent food for a low price. The rooms were as expected, crowded with bunk beds and the lounge area was cool to lay back at; Hammocks were strung up and a computer for personal use was available. No towels included in the price but the breakfast was...and it was good. Free bikes as aforementioned to get to the pueblo. Big lockers for your possessions. Overall I would recommend this hostel.

We stayed in a private room, only downside is the bathroom isn't really separate and has no hot water. There was air conditioning but no fly screen on the windows so you can't leave them open at night. We stayed for 2 nights. The free bikes are great, we used them to go into town at night and to the beach during the day. Cynthia, one of the owners, was friendly and made great breakfasts. The whole place looks pretty run down hence the average review but it's good value and the room was cleaned everyday.

Nice breakfast, Nice location for visiting the ruins And going to the beach.
The place when we stayed had the smell of Goa, filled with "happy" travellers, so if it s your thing, go there. Some of them seemed to love it.
The room for 4 was okay but it could have been much better. Honestly be sûre to share your room with people you know because the bathroom is open so you can hear everything.
