“A great typical French lunch”
Reviewed 24 May 2012

Four courses in the menu de jour. soup, pâté, langue de boeuf, creme caramel for 11.50 euros. Nice courtesy from the proprietor who volunteered that perhaps my wife wouldn!t appreciate the tongue (a correct assumption) and she was offered a fish alternative without any prompting.perfect food.. The creme caramel included petite morceaux de dates which made it more interesting. A litre of vi n rouge, two coffees and a total bill of 34 euros... With a lovely sunny courtyard table thrown in. Who wants more?

“the best meal we've had in France for a long time”
Reviewed 20 June 2011

This restaurant has just reopened and is definately worth visiting. You sit outside under vines which is very pleasant. The food is fabulous with a huge choice of a la carte or set menus (lunch only 10euros). To start you are brought a terrine of vegetable soup which was delicious and is included in the price. I had the 18 euro menu starting with a fabulous goats cheese salad, then red mullet again delicious, a lovely cheese board with an excellent selection followed by excellent creme brulee - don't know how I managed it all - only because it was SO good. My husband had a fillet steak au poivre which he comsiders is one of the best he's ever had (he did help me with some of mine!) The service is very attentive and I wish them lots of success they deserve it.
