This site is just 5 minutes walk from Wolferton Station and is a lovely place for a stroll or just a quiet sit down. The bog is famous for a unique collection of plants that still grow there.

Situated near Wolferton nature walks through wooded and open heathland. Bog is crammed with wildlife. Dragonflies grass snakes etc while in the woods there are fungi and adders (be careful they will bite)

There seem to be 3 walks available and the are colour coded. The trails are well marked and it's unlikely you will get lost.
My irritation with this place is that there are loads of notices when you enter (mainly telling you what you can't do) and they have even put up a notice to warn of new steps (who does that!) but when you get to the "cliffs" (steep hill) there is nothing!
No board telling you when the sea was there or any information on what it may have looked like. On the top of the cliff by the path there is a bench seat dedicated to John Denver, the singer. No information as to why it was dedicated, was this a secret hangout of his? We will never know as it is obviously more important to tell us about new steps than anything else.

We often walk here enjoying the variety of flora and bird life on display here. There are some surprising views from the “cliff”. Walkers should be prepared for rough and muddy terrain, especially after a wet spell of weather. There are also some rough and fairly steep steps, although these can avoided if the walk is carefully chosen. There is a board walk here too which winds through the heart of the bog.
