We stayed here for the long Polish May weekend in early May. We stayed in one of the wooden cottages. They have a pleasant Scandinavian - bare pine / rustic / simplistic ambience. We took 2 adjoining rooms so had the whole cottage to ourselves. If you take just 1 you will be sharing the inside corridor with the people from the room next door which may be a bit awkward if you end up smelling each other's hiking boots and wet parkas. The only gripe with the cottages is that instead of being close to the beautiful lake they are right next to the road which can be surprisingly busy. The rooms open up with terraces onto the lake so you don't actually hear the traffic when you're inside but as you walk from the main hotel building to the cottages you are between the road, some qute noisy and ugly industrial AC units and the whole experience is not as rustic mazurian as one would like it to be. The restaurant has a beautiful setting - right on the lake with gorgeous sunsets over the water. Good food and drinks, varied and plentiful breakfasts and you can literally sit and lounge about on the water. The hotel has very good tennis courts although they are a bit of a walk from the lodgings. Nice kayaks and pedalos for rent to explore the lake, bikes for rent which we did and had a great 40 km round trip to Ruciane Nida for lunch through some gorgeous Central European primeval forest. Overall we really enjoyed this stay and really recharged our batteries.
