My daughter and I stayed at The Admiralty for 2 nights. The home is lovely and Mary was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Breakfast was wonderful - eggs cooked to order. Mary was very helpful when we needed to figure out how to drive to Gansbaai for our shark diving experience. I highly recommend the Admiralty for your stay in the Capetown area!

Last summer I spent 10 days at the Admiralty whilst working nearby in Muizenberg. As a visitor from the UK I felt very much at home, much more so than in the city centre hotels. Mary and Russell are indeed excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfasts were great, Mary's baking is excellent and Russell kept me up to date with the cricket scores. It is a real home from home and I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm definitely booking in again next time I'm in Cape Town.

Admiralty Bed and Breakfast is one of the best value for money hotels I have stayed at. Mary and Russell and great hosts and go the extra mile to ensure you are happy and make you feel right at home. The rooms are worthy of a 5 star hotel, the breakfasts are very generous and tasty, while the pool is great to chill in after a long day. Value for money here is second to none. Highly recommended.

Staying at Admiralty was better than home for us, since we now have to miss Mary and Russell's wonderful fresh breakfasts and the gorgeous views from the deck (we live in a rural area) of the Captain's cabin. Mary and Russell are not just great cooks, they are also the friendliest and kindest of hosts!
The Captain's Cabin provided very nicely for the 4 of us (parents and 2 teenagers). The view was beautiful and the bird's nests all around the deck were astounding! Even a little sunbird's nest!
Our stay in Cape Town could not have been better, if/when we go back there is absolutely no doubt that we will stay with Mary and Russell (we'll book well in advance!).
Oh and I nearly forgot to mention the gorgeous house itself. Built around a central patio, very practical and beautiful. The photographs are a good reflection of reality!

Perfect choice for a family stay as well as for business travellers!

Staying here was just like home. Mary and Russell were extremly hospitable and excellent hosts. Our rooms were made up everyday just like a hotel and electric blankets were turned on before we got home each night.
Breakfast is something I looked forward to everyday. Mary's baking is out of this world with fresh bread, muffins, fruit and a fully cooked breakfast too!
My wife and I stayed in 'The Commodore Suite' The negative I would say about the room was that it was close to the kitchen. There was a large family staying here when were were there and they used the kitchen late at night for meals and was a bit noisy. Cape Town got hit with a really big cold from while were were staying there and the room was right on the water making the room rather chilly during the night. All was resolved with loads of blankets though.
Will definitely stay here again!

Wow, we stayed at Admiralty B&B for a few nights during our tour of South Africa and it was amazing. Even though we arrived quite late at night we received a warm welcome and were shown our room. In our room the electrical blankets had been turned on so we would have nice warm beds; the bathroom was as clean as can be; the room was superb and the view, even at night, was stunning.
As we settled in our host came to ask when we wanted breakfast and wether we could have it before 9.30 since the Springboks were bound to play the All Blacks, a one off request which we, as rugbyfans, gladly accepted.
Breakfast was superb with fruitsalad, yoghurt, muesli, cornflakes, bacon and eggs, tea, coffe,...

Positive:
- Nice atmosphere and lovely hosts
- 7 superb rooms, all en suite
- Very good breakfast
- Close to a laundrette
- In a quiet neighbourhood but still close to most attractions

Negative:
- The dining room can get chilly late at night in winter.

Room Tip: all rooms are spacious and sunny, but the room we had (the captains room) has a lovely view on the r...
