“Heritage property - the place to stay in Alsisar”
Reviewed 13 February 2012

Had a wonderful stay. The hotel is a genuine 'Rajasthani Haveli' - a heritage property. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable - there was an electric heater! The dinner charges are a bit on the higher side - but the food was very good.

A very nice and big haveli welcomes you in a small village of Alsisar. Only sad thing if going from Delhi is there is NO ROAD for a stretch of an hour near Singhama. Rest assured ,the place is simply beautiful with Peacocks hovering around the whole village (it was easier to spot peacocks than pigeons here :) ). The wonderful staff is what makes the saty more pleasant with the cultural programs in the evening along with Bonfire. The food was awesum, do request them for great, authentic rajasthani food.

A minimum of two nights stay is required after and before a long and tiring journey.

Room Tip: Rooms near the Swimming pool are big and have a garden view and easy access to pool as well.

An oasis in the desert. This restored haveli hotel in this little village is a true "find" Off the beaten track, but the track is worth the trip. Greeted on arrival with a much needed cold drink, the service continued to impress. Our lovely room was huge and as it was winter a heater supplied to keep us warm. The swimming pool looked amazing, with peacocks wandering around the rooftops to add to the atmosphere. The buffet had many interesting dishes to try.Although if you didnt want the buffet the menu was very limited. The best part was to wander through the village looking at the havelis and other old buildings. and have a taste of village life.

Room Tip: Rooms by the swimming pool get the sun.

this one was one of those moment when i felt like i am a princess.. and this is my castle... this is hotel is located in a tiny village of alsisar, which makes luxury feel like decadence. the hotel is a large haveli with grandeur fitting the royalty. we stayed in a suite room in the hotel..and it was beautiful, luxurious, spacious. even the bathrooms were magnificent, since i am kind of very particular about the bathrooms. Food was amazing with a prompt and lovely room service. the hospitality of the hotel staff was equally wonderful and well-appreciated, not to say charming at least. The vast garden with its swimming pool added well to the image of a castke...and the whole experience kept me smiling. Being a fan of antique, i loved the interior decor of the hotel. overall it was an excellent stay for both of us

What a shame we had so little time to spend in Alsisar Mahal. It was our first stop on a tour of Rajasthan and what a first stop it was! This hotel is truly beautiful and we were treated like royalty. Our bedroom was the Bridal Suite - I could have taken up permanent residence in it. The dining room is a glory of painted walls and ceilings. There is a sapphire blue swimming pool and the visitor is entertained by the occasional calling of peacocks. I would highly recommend this hotel to any visitor to India in general and to the Shekhawati region in particular.

this hotel is in a tiny village of Alsisar that has lovely painted homes ( havelis) , the locals are friendly and smiling. and the village is filled with peacocks that say" Leo. Leo"

the hotel is in a large beautiful haveli , painted with old and new frescoes. The rooms are spacious, the shower water is very hot and the service is charming .
it was nice after staying in large cites , or in isolated outskirts.

We've ended our trip through Rajasthan in this fatastic hotel in a quiet little village. Although he village is small, it has some great haveli's.

We've booked a suite room in this hotel. However we were shown to a normal three bed room. After we've contacted our travel agent, we were shown to a total of four rooms. We could just choose our preference. So after this we had an awesome and spacious room with lovely furniture and pool view.

After the first night we were the only guests in the hotel. The first morning we had buffet breakfast which was moderate. But the other mornings we were served at our table. Every morning we were served continental breakfast and Indian breakfast, every morning other choices. This was really fantastic. After breakfast we used to order lunch and dinner, and also mentioned where and what time we wanted to be served. Although the timings were not always accurate, the food was really nice! And we really liked to have our lunch in the sun at the pool side. Being the only guests made us feel very special.

Before our trip I've aready informed about internet access for guests because I needed to do some work. So I was directed to the managers office to sit at his desk. Although strange and a bit uncomfortable I really liked the service.

Staff was very friendly, even although some of them could barely speak English.

Conclusions: a very nice and quiet hotel for relaxing, with nice food and friendly staff (who were all waving at us when we left)
