“another fantastic Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Another great meal, Sunday Lunch, the restaurant was full, a 70th, all tables full but meal was cooked to perfection. As always a warm welcome, we always go for Sunday lunch and an evening meal too, we have 3 or more holidays in Sible Hedingham a year but always go to the 3 Tuns I had roast beef, so tender and tasty, for sweet I had Eton Mess, it was all so good.
Back again in October, if not before.

The first time I visited the Three Tuns was after a shopping trip with my daughter.
We arrived at the pub at 5pm hungry only to discover they didn't start serving food until 7pm.
They saw our disappointment and asked us to take a seat and order our food, the food arrived
Shortly after along with a smile and a friendly welcoming to the area as I'd just moved from a
Busy town to a village I was apprehensive about going into somewhere new to me. The food
Was lovely and I and my husband now go there often for dinner, the atmosphere is always
Warm, friendly and welcoming.

The Tuns has got to be one of the best Pubs in Finchingfield. The food is traditional pub grub, nice portions at a good price. Very friendly staff and landlord. Iv'e used all three Pubs in Finchingfield the Tuns is the best followed by the Red Lion and the worst but best location The Fox.

We met at the Three Tuns in Finchingfield for a New Year family meal for 6 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 children and a baby. The pub opened especially early for us for the children and, having travelled some way to get to it, this really helped.
We were met with a warm welcome from Pub Landlord Mike and his wife, a roaring fire, a comfy seating area and a lovely Christmas tree. We had time to have drinks and catch up, and then sat down to a really delicious meal. Nothing was too much trouble for them, especially food for the children.
Service was excellent and Mike really kept us all entertained, especially my son Tom!
I would definitely recommend this pub for families, couples, friends ... anyone really.
We will be back!!

The Three Tuns was the perfect choice for our family meal. The atmosphere and warm log fire on arrival were lovely. The restaurant was opened especially for us as we were a large group and we are so grateful for that - I have never known anywhere else that does this. The service was excellent - Mike was fantastic, friendly, funny, a perfect host. The food was delicious and catered so well for our large number of ages and tastes. We could order anything for the children, nothing was too much trouble. Mike even asked what music we would like to listen to! We will certainly be coming back every year for our family catch ups from now on! We had a fantastic time and can highly recommend a visit here.

Popped in here for lunch and was immediately impressed. Pleasant surroundings, warm log fire, superb pint of Deuchars IPA (well kept and not too strong for the middle of the day) and a definitive plate of battered haddock and chips. Friend had the cod - equally fresh and delish. Polite, agreeable young man serving us and a decent cup of coffee to finish.

Not the most thorough road test but quite enough to mark this out as an excellent pub in one of England's prettiest villages.

My wife and I stayed for one night at the Three Tuns and we could not rate it high enough

On arrival we received a very warm and sincere welcome from our hosts Mike & Maria, and during our stay nothing was too much trouble. From the start we were made to feel totally at home, Mike was a great source of knowledge regarding the very pretty village and it's surrounding area

The bedroom was very clean, well equipped and comfortable and we enjoyed a very peaceful nights sleep, our evening meal was a delight, the food was fresh, delicious and plentiful (especially the Eton Mess) and the mornings cooked English breakfast set us both up for the day ahead - all at a very reasonable rate

If you are looking for good old fashioned service with that extra little special touch I would strongly recommend the Three Tuns - You will not be disappointed!!!
