Well worth visiting. Especially for those interested in skiing and7or the South Pole conquest by the Norwegians . some who came from this veru village. If you have breath, see the multi-screened film of two of the world's best snow-boarders. It is far-out!

It's worth while making a stop at Morgedal, a small village on the E134 road. Have a bite at the inn (very good tradional Norwegian food), and then visit the ski museum. It tells the story of Sondre Norheim, who was said to be the first inventing ski competition. Not too fancy, but interesting to dive into the living of the farming community some 150 years ago.

For travellers that take this route over the mountains it is a great opportunity for learning about the history of skiing. We always stop here for a pause when going by car to the west coast of Norway.

Norwegian Ski Museum is highly recommended to visit when in Morgedal. Here you'll learn everything you need to know about the Norwegian Ski history. It's also worth witnessing the 17 metres long skis on the wall outside (Norways longest skis), as well as the statue of Sondre Norheim.

There was a lot of stuff in the souvenir shop, and the walls were nicely decorated with paintings and souvenirs everywhere.

You can also enjoy a very nice meal at the Innsvingen Cafe/Restaurant next to the souvenir shop. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

An interesting and a very informative exhibit about the genesis and history of the ski sport. The gift store offered a good assortment of Norwegian souvenirs besides the usual dreary T-shirts and the plastic trolls made in China.
