I cycle past this pub very often - aways longing to stop for a beer - but don't! On weekends however my wife and I now go there often for a snack and drinks. Gary keeps the Tribute (or Proper Job) ales in superb condition and is to be congratulated. It is a lovely pub and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. Long may it continue!! Food is very good here.

This everyone's idea of a country pub, low beams, low light, horse brasses everywhere and sat across the road from the village church and green. Idyllic. The day was boiling hot but this old pub was relatively cool inside. We only had a light lunch but the menu board looked amazing, including ox-cheek. The place had plenty of room to sit and an adjacent beer garden. It also has a large car park.

Gary and Sarah run this wonderful pub with excellent home-cooked food. Set in a beautiful rural landscape it is difficult to leave the warm and friendly atmosphere.

On recommendation we visited this pub. Beautiful location and lovely atmosphere. However, the food was shocking. Starters were average. But the main course was well below what was acceptable. Being the first customers, the kitchen was not busy. My medium sirloin steak was dry and overcooked with a definite aged flavour which was unpalatable. My partner had mixed grill. The steak was the only item which was acceptable. The rest of the dish was dry and overcooked. My meal was removed from the bill. The chef's talent certainly does not lie with grills. The owners were very apologetic, but overall very disappointing.

Several of us were out on our bikes and stopped here for assorted sandwiches, a pie, beer and coffee. Friendly service, good food at very reasonable prices and plenty of scenic outdoor seating for when the weather bucks up. An interesting and varied menu and it all looked good. More Redwick than Caldicott.
