i have passed this place many times and always thought about dropping in for a meal, so on sunday we were looking for somewhere to eat after having a drive around the ribble valley and called in without booking. The car park was full (a good sign) we were warmly welcomed immeadiatley, offered drinks straight away and had a nice table within miniutes, the place was packed, and after eating i knew why. The staff couldnt do enough for you, the food was superb, the menu caters for every taste, i couldnt manage a pudding but they looked delicious, and after eating in the bar area we asked about booking a meal for 8 and were shown into the dining room, a much more formal place with outstanding views. if you want excellent food at very reasonable prices and to be looked after well, or just to treat someone special then you wouldnt go far wrong with this place.

We had finished a very muddy walk, changed out of our boots and braved entering the pub to see if they would be happy to serve us a snack of some chips and a drink. What a welcome. The reaction was of course you can as if why would we not? We were served very quickly with a good sized portion of very delicious chips by a lovely young waitress. I thanked the man at the bar for the warm welcome and asked about their menu. Despite my very, very muddy trousers he showed me into the main restaurant which is beautiful with stunning views. The food we saw being served looked good with ample portions. The location would make me want to go back but it is the welcome that will ensure I return appropriately dressed to try the Sunday lunch! Thanks new drop Inn for a lovely end to our walk

A good choice for lunch. Great service from smiling staff. Food is traditional, healthy portions, tasty and very good value on the 2courses for £10.95 option at lunchtime. It wasn't as busy as the last time we visited and we had a view over the hills. Good honest food.

The worst meals we have had for years. There was an overpowering smell of disinfectant throughout the dining room. Quality of the food was poor with two plates only half eaten. Don't go.
