Beautiful local gardens with interesting selection of shops - worth a visit. Plenty of good walks in the local area also

Afternoon tea on a very warm sunny afternoon at Stydd Gardens was a surprising treat. The gardens were beautiful and we were seated opposite a lovely water fountain. We enjoyed cold drinks and a selection of homemade cakes which included lemon drizzle cake and fruit scone with cream and jam, both of which were delicious. There a few little shops dotted around the garden centre in painted huts, a bee garden and a few little paths leading to different areas of landscaped and wild flower gardens. I really enjoyed my first visit to this quirky novel garden centre and would recommend a visit.

Visited here for lunch recently and after a short wait we sat down in the restaurant/cafe. While waiting we had a wander around the delightful garden and retail huts, which are definitely worth a look. The menu was quite extensive, with delicious sounding dishes. What we chose was absolutely "yummy" and plentiful. We shall definitely call again when in the area.

Surprisingly busy for a mid week lunch time. Arrived before the rush to be seated immediately. Really enjoyed our lunches. Well presented tasty food in a large greenhouse with old fashioned seating and tables. Like an indoor picnic. Relaxed atmosphere catering for the older clientele. The food is not run of the mill and its certainly more than just a café. Would go again in summer and sit outside too by the tranquil garden. Little huts worth a browse too for nic nacks, shabby chic, honey etc. A beauty treatment would be lovely here too in this setting. I would not really recommend for children or teens. My only gripe was the pot of tea. Awful taste. Will definitely go back again.
