We both enjoyed a couple of nights at Church Lodge. Martin and Nicky made us feel very welcome and provided all the ingredients needed for a relaxing break. We stayed in the room located away from the main house. The room amenities are excellent, the bed, linen, pillows and home made soaps all contribute to top class accommodation. The breakfast enjoyed in the garden surroundings makes for a perfect start to the day, locally sourced, homemade delights such as the muesli with plenty of fresh fruit. We highly recommend a stay and we will return with our dog one day!! Thanks again Martin and Nicky and enjoy your every moment with your new adventure, you both deserve to be successful. Mike and Helene

Room Tip: Room located outside the main house is excellent.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and it was easily one of the best birthdays. There is so much to do in the surrounding area to tick all of your 'quaint English coast and country side' boxes that on arrival you will be presented with a dreadful dilemma: "Do I go out and see all these lovely things, or do I just say I did so that I can really just hang around this beautiful lodge and soak up the relaxing and happy atmosphere".

Lucky for us Nikki and Martin made it easy for us to balance between staying in and going out by lending us bikes, providing a picnic and a cycle route, advising on local pubs and restaurants worth venturing out for. But also warmly welcoming us back with genuine cheer and interest.

The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast was to die for and the hosts the most genuine, kind and sincere people you can hope to meet. By the end of your stay you will forget why you originally went there and leave feeling like you went to stay with some old friends for the weekend.

All of that and I haven't even started on Nikki being a Pilates guru: I had a private lesson in the beautiful garden. It was an entirely different experience to popping to the gym for a quick impersonal stretch - more of a complete mind and body relaxation.

I love this place and I can't wait to go back.

Blissfully quiet,no stinting on the quality of bed and linen,we were met with tea and home made cakes, all included, and were looked after so attentively by Martin and Nicky,we could really relax and felt after only 2 days as though we had been away a week.

This is one B and B for a, repeat.

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely boutique B&B. The décor and rooms are superb and the proprietors, Nicky & Martin, are brilliant hosts. The large beds delivered the best night’s sleep I have had in a long time and the attention to detail in the bedrooms and bathrooms is second to none! The breakfast was superb and the setting wonderful. The location is fabulous with Chichester Marina and The Witterings close by and great to explore on bikes or walking. We had a brilliant time, loved the property and will return again soon.

Room Tip: The self contained double room with ensuite in the courtyard is lovely.

A beautiful New England style house with gorgeous high ceilings and beautiful bedrooms.
Dog and child friendly and truly lovely owners.
Both Sandbank and Driftwood are lovely rooms with free standing bath and lovely fluffy towels.
Breakfast was taken on the terrace in a gorgeous garden home baked bread and local products.
Nicky is a fully qualified Pilates instructor and can arrange anything from a session to a full break.
Next to the beautiful little church in Birdham and easy walking to Chichester harbour defiantly to be
Recommended for walking, cycling or just lazing in lovely surroundings we will be back very soon.

Room Tip: Both lovely, one in the house one separate and huge!
