“Little holland too”
Reviewed 19 January 2014 via mobile

This site is in a wonderful location.easiest way to get ther is to fly drive.we flew to montpellier, and had a pre hired car waiting.the site is about one hour from the airport.the site is very hilly so it's not for the infirm.the site has been taken over by a Dutch company,so it is very lively now on site,in fact it is great for 6-11 year old kids, they will love it.canoeing from MIllau amust,as is the velo ride(reception have details).Millau is a great town/city and the bridge a real wow.we could see it flying in.there is plenty of very clean toilet and washing areas. The local markets are always good to go to?the on site facilities are basic and fair priced?the site goes quiet at about 11,even in August.FInal tip,buy a rubber ring and enjoy the slides, but they are only for kids of 6 to 80!!!!

A quiet dutch campsite in the middle of france well situated for walks from the campsite to some breath taking views. Pool flumes very tame for teenage kids as mostly young dutch / english families. Great day out doing the fun climbing experience just outside Millau with many zip rides and a bit of climbing thrown in. Restauarant on the campsite very ordinary but better if you can order something they have to make fresh. 8km Canoe trip a bit disappointing as hardly any water in the river at that time of year.

Stayed here for 14 nights in a Canvas Holidays Tent August 2013.
Good Points:
Canvas reps were excellent and very helpful, Location, views and surrounding area are amazing, pool complex was great fun for the children. Toilets and washing facilities were clean. Canvas Tent pitch was large and a gazebo was provided so plenty of sun or shade available. On site shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. Lots to see and do in surrounding area, booklet provided by camp-site has great ideas.
Bad Points:
Bar was not near swimming pool, lots of youths in shorts and underwear in pool. Site restaurant not great and no others near enough to walk to. Tent (although well looked after) was a bit old and shabby.

Stayed 4 nights here with Eurocamp. Situated on the banks of the river Daubie ( you can access the river from the campsite for swimming and pond dipping), its located in a beautiful and peaceful valley about 30 mins drive from Millau.
The site is very dutch orientated, which was fine with us - it only improved the quality of the beer.
Restaurant and shop were both well run ( if a little pricey). Pool was busy, but as we aren't pool dwellers and only use it for recreation ( there is 30 mins in the morning for laps only) and cooling down. The lazy river ( take a ring) and slides were a bit with the kids.
Our mobile home was high up the hillside which meant it was quiet and also cooler ( valley sides means the sun rises later and sets ealier, also caught more breeze), but did mean every trip to the bar, shop, pool was a 5 minute walk.
The onsite animateurs were a mixture of dutch and french and organised something for everyone ( including market walks to the local town, wine tasting and canoe trips on the Tarn river, as well as childrens activities)
We had a great time here and will return to make more the Cevanne area ( more canoing , cycling, walking). Its also a great base to visit the Millau viaduct from.

Room Tip: Choose and emplacement lower down the campsite, but above the pool and bars.

I used to love this site when it was owned by the family who created it. Unfortunately it has been taken over by a Dutch company and it may as well be called Little Holland now as it's packed full of Dutch holidaymakers playing at being in France - no fault of theirs to be fair but not what I'd pay (a lot!) for. The location is great, the countryside is beautiful but I just don't see the point of going there any more. Sadly...

Room Tip: Go somewhere else instead e.g. Les Deux Vallees a small site nearby for a truer sense of France and...

We stayed for 3 nights in a Eurocamp mobile home which looked hardly used. On arrival there was a bottle of wine on the table to greet us. We were at the top of the site which is a steep walk but very quiet and about a 5 minute walk to the pool and a little longer to the bar area. We were sorted out with bedding as we were touring on a motorbike and hadn't room for bedding. Shop is well equiped for essentials. Pool was great with no problems. Would stay again.

This is a beautifully situated campsite. The pool is fab for kids but v. slippy. Both myself, husband and 3 year old all slipped and fell at different stages. There is a lovely village close by called Nant. Very french and pretty. The area itself is very picturesque. The weather wasn't always good. Half of the holiday we had dull clouds and rain but this was apparently unusual for that time of year. We had a really relaxing time and would recommend this campsite if you are looking for a quiet relaxing break.
