This hotel has thieves, they stole all the luggage cash and phones from my parents room, never ever reached to even apologise, key cards were inactive during theft so they couldn’t get in, by the time they got activated thieves had broken my bags zips and took all the belongings including cash and phones. We have tried to reach this hotel by all possible ways but they don’t even care to reply. Cctvs were not operative at the time of crime. So never stay at this hotel, there’s no safe or anything for your valuable belongings.

I have travelled to many parts of the world and have visited many countries but my recent visit to Europe was the worst trip that I have ever experienced in my whole life. I had a confirmed ticket of Vueling Airlines for flight from Paris Orly Terminal to Milan on July 14th, 2019 that I had booked online earlier. But when I went to the Paris Orly airport terminal the Vueling Airlines staff told me that my seat was on chance even though I have booked the ticket online earlier but still they kept me waiting and then told me that the flight was completely booked and they issued me another ticket to Milan that was scheduled to departure after around 4-5 hours. The Vueling Airlines staff recommended that instead of waiting at the airport I should go to a hotel and they gave me address of “Hotel ibis Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport” and also gave me dinner coupons. They told me that it was a very good hotel and I should stay there for the next few hours. I went to the hotel and checked in to room # 263 of the Hotel ibis Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport at 2115 hours on July 14th 2019. After settling-in I went downstairs to have dinner in the hotel at around 2145 hours and before leaving for dinner I made sure the room door was properly locked as it is my habit to check the doors twice before leaving to ensure it’s locked. While I had ordered my food I remembered that I have forgotten my medicines in the room that I was supposed to take with my food. So I went upstairs and when I reached my room and tried to open using the room card the access was denied. I tried multiple times but no luck. So I went to the main reception and told them that the card wasn’t working. They took some time and then issued me another card. After getting the room card I went to my room again and was able to access it. When I entered my room what I saw really shocked me as my suitcase was all torn apart with clothes lying on the floor and all the gift items that I had bought from Paris i.e. perfumes etc., my SONY DSLR ALPHA 9 that I had bought few months back, Samsung Galaxy S8 were all gone. They took all my 3,000 EUROs cash that was in the suitcase and they also took all the receipts of the purchases I have made in Paris and were keeping those for VAT refund purposes. I immediately informed the hotel management of Hotel ibis Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport but they were not cooperative at all and they just wanted me to keep this matter low and not to report to the police. When they saw that I was not backing-off and really wanted to report it to the police, so finally they called the Police. The whole case was then reported to the Police for which I had to go the police station to launch the Police Report which took around 3 – 4 hours. As there was a security camera right outside my hotel room # 263, I was hopeful that they will be able identify the culprit(s) using that footage.

I came back to my country and after about a week I got the news that the police has closed the case as they weren’t able to see anyone in the security camera footage and they further said that in case if they catch anyone and if that person admits that he/she has done this robbery only then they will be in a position to get the looted stuff back. I was really amazed to listen to their response on the matter over which I had lost around 6,500 EUROs.

I am quite sure that the Hotel Staff of Hotel ibis Paris Coeur d’Orly are part of this robbery because why my access was denied when I tried to enter my room and how one can come into a room without breaking any door or window and steal everything and leave the room without being caught on the camera that was right outside the room.

I am of the view that if the French Police would have also looked at various possibilities other than just the security camera footage there is a possibility that they might have found a clue that may have led to something big.

After going through this unfortunate experience I have told all my friends and families to never ever go to Hotel ibis Paris Coeur d’Orly Airport or use Vuelin Airlines.

The reason of sharing the whole situation on this platform is to spread awareness amongst the travelers so that they are more informed on the instances that are happening within the tourism industry so that these type of situations can be avoided.

Some suggestions from fellow travelers on how to pursue this matter further and which relevant authorities to further report to in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Had our flight get canceled and the airline put us up in this hotel for one night. It is very convenient to the airport and you can walk there via a pedestrian overpass. Dinner at the hotel was satisfactory as was breakfast. Rooms were clean, only very small. I understand that is par for Europe, so it isn't necessarily a knock on this place only an observation.

I was flying into Paris overnight for an early connection flight home the next day. This was June 06 to check into Ibis Orly airport hotel June 07.

I booked via the popular booking.com app.

As I entered my dates for my booking, the system had a glitch OR I didn't realize my date was not available. Unfortunately The reservation date was made for the following month.. July 07...along with the 88€/130CAD

Human error or system glitch a side, I immediately called booking.com to rectify the situation..

They told me even though the booking says no cancellation refund, due to the fact they had a full month to rent out the room and I needed a room for the following day, they shouldn't have any issues, they just needed confirmation from the hotel to switch dates and confirm a new booking for me.

I kept in touch with booking.com several times to see what the status of the new booking was but all they could tell me was Ibis would not return their calls nor answer there emails...Was it a language barrier I hoped..

At this point we are next day, I had still had no place to stay and my flight to orly was boarding so I reserved a room directly at another hotel 230€ later due to last minute.

With hopes I would hear back from either of them once I landed. Maybe a chance of a refund would be possible or a credit for a future stay would be a possibility? I was open to anything suggestions.

Touch down at Orly, no news from either booking not Ibis...

At this points its 12:30 am on the said night I was supposed to check into Ibis, Im exhausted and I still have a 7h connecting flight home in a few hours.

I called booking back once I was back home the a few days later.

Booking.com said it maybe due to language issues French vs English so they proposed I deal directly with the hotel and so I did just that. Obviously I was handed off by the booking so they no longer had to take part in this situation.

Longggg story short...Ibis Orly categorically refused to either credit, refund or even suggest a solution even though they had another 3 weeks to rebook the room...

So we are now July 8th, Ibis never credited and booking.com didn't offer any suggestions or refunds to help ease the bad experience I have had with both venues..

In hopes this story helps other never get screwed over like I was! I will never set foot in any Ibis ever again and unfortunately even though our family used Booking.com like it was our personal shopper, they will never make another dime off of us.

Front Desk staff very polite and helpful.

Breakfast good, with a very good choice of food.

Room clean, but definitely in need of an update.

Found bar staff rather rude and although most were offered nuts or crisps, such were not offered to myself or another British guy.
