On this trip, this was our first stop.( 20° 54.7647'N, 100° 44.8393' W )San Miguel is not the easiest city to travel into and the center of the town multiplies the difficulty by a lot. In fact, this provides me with the only negative note about this hotel (as well as any hotel in the town centre): there is no parking. We had to pay the equivalent of 10.00 per day to have someone take our car somewhere. We obviously did not need it since everything was close by. And that is one of the nicest note of this hotel: location, location, location. It took 6 minutes to get to the “Zocalo” in this case the town center or, as San Miguel calls it, the Jardin principal. Our room, called Escondido, was a pleasure. A mini suite, it had a nice lounging area and a separate bedroom with 2 double beds. The breakfast was included in the price of the room which was a nice touch. Of course it was a continental breakfast but you could have anything you wanted such as huevos divorciados for a slight charge. (Huevos divorciados, or "divorced eggs," is a Mexican breakfast featuring two fried eggs separated by a column of chilaquiles (although sometimes, refried beans with tortilla chips are substituted). Typically, one egg is covered in salsa roja, while the other is covered in salsa verde, giving them distinct and complementary flavor. (Wikipedia)). The rooms are surrounded by outdoor spaces which is really nice but which can be a problem when guests who don’t care about their neighbors talk and laugh until 1:30 in the night. The bedroom also had a recessed area for working, writing, surfing. And the bathroom, to say the least, was magnificent. All in all, a very nice room in this hotel, well worth the price charged.

Well located near downtown by a walking distance, clean, very good service, with parking facilities and a good size hotel.
Has nice decoration and a balcony were you can chat, have a drink and from my room I could see the towers of the church and hear the bells ring.
I truly recommend this Villa to stay in your next trip to San Miguel de Allende.

This is a delightful hotel. The rooms are clean, beautiful , all different. My room was very quiet, Some have airconditioning. A lot of outdoor space and archways give it a lovely atmosphere. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient, near restaurants, shops and the main square. I had breakfast and lunch included and it was always good and pleasantly served. There is no swimming pool. I found the price reasonable. I was with a group for a workshop, and the staff was very accomodating to our needs.

Room Tip: Bella Vista has airconditioningand is spacious. Diana is a large room as well, with cross ventilation.

I have been several times staying in this hotel, it is nice, comfy, well located, clean and service is excellent. Being so close to downtown makes this little hotel a real find given their rate! The only “but” this time, our room, called “Escondido”, (Hidden) it was pretty warm during the night and there is no A/C. The fan is over the adjacent stay room and no over the beds.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels around the world and this is one of the best! The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and QUIET. The rooms are very cosy and comfortable, and kept clean. The bathrooms are functional and equipped with basins and tiles unique to the Guanajuato region. The breakfast area is pleasant, where everyone says good morning to each other, the food is cheap and tasty. There are a number of outdoor, sheltered patio areas to socialise or work or write postcards. The entire hotel is free WiFi. You can't beat the location, being easy to access by car and a short walk to the colonial centre. Parking is a 5 min walk from the hotel, but it is secure with shaded lots. We absolutely loved our stay here and will return. This hotel is a gem!

Room Tip: The suites are awesome
