“Forget the food, go for the view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

I am not reviewing the food as we only had drinks. The reason to come here is for the most amazing view of San Miguel de Allende. We came two nights of the four in SMA. The service is first class as expected from a Rosewood property. A definite must!

“best burger ever and outstanding view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

If you aren't very hungry or have a small group, ask about portion sizes because some items were bigger than expected. I'm not really complaining. We should've checked before ordering but fortunately, we were able to take it home. We tried the chips and guacamole, shrimp rolls, chicken satay skewers, & lobster tacos. Then we ordered the oven baked "tyaluda" salted nopales etc and the sirloin burger. Those two items turned out to be more than we thought they'd be but both were very good. It was all very good but the burger... that was hands down the absolute best burger I've ever had anywhere. The menu says "sirloin burger enhanced with onion marmalade and goat cheese." It is a mild goat cheese if you're concerned about it being a stronger kind. I've never heard of onion marmalade but it is definitely something I will want to try to recreate at home when I grill. Seriously.. for me it was the best tasting burger I've ever had anywhere in North America.

“Go for the view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2014

Lunas Rooftop Tapas Bar is a "must do" in San Miguel. The view is stunning. Before you go, check when sunset will occur and plan to arrive thirty minutes before that. Avoid going on a windy day. Bring your camera.

The tapas are good, although not outstanding. The wine list is limited, although better than many restaurants in San Miguel. The prices are reminiscent of high end restaurants in the states. The service is very good.

Overall, a trip to the Lunas bar is a great way to spend an evening in San Miguel.

“Stunning sundown!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014 via mobile

We went there half an hour before sundown to take a margarita before having dinner at another place. What a stunning view!! This is a must, no matter if you're a couple looking for a romantic place or a family or a group of friends...
The service was very friendly. There could be some more staff, though, we had to wait quite a while until we were asked what we wanted to drink. But we didn't care, we had plenty of time and just enjoyed this wonderful sundown.

“Dinner every night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2014

During our three night stay at the Rosewood Hotel in San Miguel de Allende in early February, we found ourselves returning to the Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar each night to enjoy a celebratory drink and a selection of the tapas. The first night, we had a wide variety of tiny tacos, ceviche, and other tasty small plates, while enjoying a delicious margarita (the first night), cerveza (the next night) and vino rojo from Cabo (the last night.) Every night we ordered a fantastic salad with tomatoes and cheese. While Luna wasn't inexpensive, it was a good value for just enough food for us, and and easy trip to our room! The service was excellent and the warm blankets and heat lamps warmed us while we enjoyed the lights of the city. Our only complaint was the background music; musica romantica (rather than contemporary American music) would have improved the ambience to match the setting.
